Swans In No Rush To Match Duffy Bids

Hartlepool and Hibs Firm Duffy Bids

It is being reported that both Hartlepool and Hibs have made a bid for Darryl Duffy as the race for the striker seems set to hot up over the coming days.

Duffy spent the last couple of months on loan at the Liberty Stadium - scoring 5 goals in the process - and is said to want to return to Swansea now that his loan deal has run out. But both Hartlepool - where Duffy also spent a period on loan - and Hibs are in the running and it is said that they have both made bids to Hull to secure the services of the striker.

But Swansea believe that they are in a strong position and Chairman Huw Jenkins will not be rushed into a panic bid just because others have already showed their hand

"It doesn't concern me that Hartlepool have supposedly made an offer for Darryl," Jenkins told the Evening Post "We are monitoring the situation. "There will be a number of players we are going to be linked with over the summer - some will be pure speculation and some will be fact."

Martinez added "Hibernian and Hartlepool have made offers for Darryl, while we are still in negotiations.

"Darryl doesn't want to listen to anyone apart from Swansea City, so from a player point of view we're in a strong position. Hopefully we will be able to agree something with Hull."
