Dale's on loan keeper Tommy Lee has been recalled by Macclesfield after just three days with the club, though rumour has it a well known replacement has already been lined up.

Lee was drafted in late on Friday following injuries to both Dale's keepers, making his debut at Notts County on Saturday.

However, Macc insisted on a 24hr recall in the loan contract, and they exercised that right following the Bank Holiday Monday game with Rotherham, however there are suggestions that the loan deal was only ever to last the weekend anyway. 

The local rumour mill was in full force after the 4-1 hammering of Rotherham, with suggestions that former Dale keeper Matt Gilks will be signing a deal with the club until the end of the season.
