Great result, all said elsewhere.

Well done to Mr Ward. Consistent to both teams, gave Ball and Toney lots of chances, all big decisions seemed correct and kept the lid on the feistiness. A bit bizarre when he booked Dieng but I suppose he had to make a point and it would only have mattered if Seny had managed to get another in the remaining minutes. Might have carded Toney a little earlier. Other than that all cards were about right.

Compared to last season our defence is a lot stronger. Handling the Bees forwards is not easy. They've got a lot of skill wanna pace and can be very physical (yes, you Mr Toney), but we stood up well to the pressure.

The subs were the key difference. Good decisions by Warbs and Willock in particular was excellent. Have to give MotM to Charlie, not necessarily for his goal or skill, but for keeping the whole team fired up.
