Well Done Derby 17:59 - May 24 with 2656 viewsFredManRave

Amidst all the hysteria, disbelief, joy and relief of our victory a special mention to McClaren and the Derby players who stayed out on the pitch to watch and clap us when we lifted the trophy. Not an easy thing to do in the circumstance so they deserve alot of respect for that.

Nice touch. Respect.

Yes, class from their boys. Hope McClaren gets them back up and running. Some very exciting players and just were perhaps a little naive at the end.

Respect to them and their fans. Very good atmosphere between the fans.

Never knowingly right.

Good post. They had a great season and played their hand really well. A great and exciting team. They couldn't break us down today, but their style and talent will hold them in good stead next year. Well done to them.

Didn't understand why they took Hughes off. Thought he was dictating play. Also surprised that Bamford didnt get a look in given how many he's scored.
Nothing against them though and hope they do it next year.

A Derby fan told me afterwards that their 31st minute ovation was for a local radio reporter with cancer, Lovely touch and unanimously marked.

Their fans seemed like a nice bunch of proper old school supporters.

I hope they go up next year

Let's be honest, we know how they feel after Cardiff did it to us in their home town in the last minute. So what their players did was a exceptional. I also noticed quite a few fans stayed back to applaud their players so fair play, first class.

Saw some of our fans giving w***** signs to Derby coaches leaving the car park, like proper divs. We really do have some classless fans.

I think all clubs do, when we arrived around 2 at Wembley park there were Derby mongs gobbling on us from the bridge above, sadly when you have 40k you are going to get the worst as well as the best

15 Stone Island (I think they were all wearing Stone Island!) idiots threw a few glasses around in Kilburn but generally they were top drawer. Also, hope they win the league next season.

Never mind Derby winning the championship next season, let's nab Hughes. He looks a real prospect.

Agree with you agreeing!
At the heart of everything good they did - only 19.
They won't hold onto him will they?

There were a couple of Derby fans where I was and I have say the grace and dignity with which they took what must have been a massive punch in the guts was admirable.

Hope they go up next year.

Well played Derby, V.close game, they could have taken it. McClaren turned them into a quality side.
