He would be a good ignin to play along somebody experienced such as Williams and let him progress.

To be honest I think this one may have legs. The reason he wanted the move to Cardiff was because of a girl from these parts, I can't recall reading of any change on that front so a return to us may well suit him down to the ground?

An idea isn't responsible for those who believe in it.

Hell of a signing if it comes off. Regardless of whether Ash leaves, with Jordi and Kyle as well I'd feel confident about our central defensive quality.

Poll: Some scummer on the anus board reckons 80% of us want them to go down. so... do

He would have to agree to one hell of a pay cut.
And is he as good as chico ? Or Bartley ?

Not too sure about that, Tan has admitted paying Cornelius £45k p/w and I don't see why Caulker would be on any less.

I think you're right, I believe I read ages ago that he's engaged to a girl from Swansea who's at Cardiff University.

Maybe if she'd gone to Swansea Uni instead, he'd might have come here from Spurs instead of going to those clowns up the road.

Hopefully, his short stint there hasn't damaged him for life!

I'd have him but they won't let him go cheap to us ,he still has room for improvement and he will with age and experience just got to keep him out of casinos

Cardiff's defence was dribble. Without Marshall they'd have conceded hundreds. Overpriced, overhyped and overpaid. Poor footballing skills. Spurs rejected him for a reason.

Massive risk if we were to rely on him to replace Ash.

He was good enough to play alongside Ash and they were a good combination when he was here. Now I'm not sure he's good enough to play alongside Ash, let alone replace him. It's a no from me

Bartley is better option in my opinion.

Everyone who rates him so highly seems to forget that he was out injured for a while after he collided with post. Monk came in and did just as good a job alongside Williams.

I'd prefer to keep Williams, Chico, Bartley and Amat than to spend 8 or 10 million the Redbirds would want. Perhaps Chico is unhappy and Williams is still in talks but can we afford to lose both of them it would cost a fair penny and really we should be looking at strengthening left and right back slots especially if either Davies or Taylor leave and Rangel is not getting any younger.

I know it was just media reports, but they did say he was on 48k a week. He isn't worth half that.

Some people have very short memory's ,many were gutted when he joined the arseholes up the road , Mike didn't want him apparently ,he was a class act for us ,5-6 MILL and we've got a damn good defender whom i might add is still very young

We must be careful the whole team doesnt end up too young though, its good to have a few old crafty heads in there.

Personally i think Ash is staying, his staged photo of him at the emerites is just a nudge by his agent to squeeze a few more quid out of his deal, wouldn;t suprise me if Monk decides to sell Chico,Canas and Poz and try and sign Caulker with the money, which if Vorm goes too he will have enough of without touching his budget .

Think he may be a bit expensive for us TBH .

If Chico goes then I don't think we need to spend maybe £6-7m and £30k a week on Caulker - I'd be quite happy with Amat / Bartley alongside Ash on a regular basis. Also, I'd be wary of the motivational impact of bringing in another CB above those two in the pecking order after they both did pretty well when they had their chances last season - I can't see Caulker coming here to be bench fodder.

If Ash goes then we need better quality / more experience than Caulker.

Therefore, and I'm actually quite surprised to be saying this myself, it's a no from me. He did well for us during the season he was here but we've moved on.
