If Gomis goes as well, will Lord_Bony change his name to Lord_Nelson?

If we keep losing strikers, it should be Lord_Help Us

Price is £28 M according to 5 live.

£30m according to SSN.

I think the conclusion we can draw from the differing figures being bandied about is that nobody apart from the two clubs involved actually knows.

Is it just a coincidence that the Ivory Coast are in Abu Dhabi training or something more ?

Yes. Whatever the fee some will be happy, some won't be. Its a massive amount for us and we have to trust the club don't waste it, as they haven't before.

Poor deal. I'm guessing City couldn't go above because of FFP and it meant upsetting the player and us wanting to cash in now.

Carroll was 35mil, Torres 50mil, top scorer in 2014, he's worth far more. P1sses me off that clubs like City who have a bottomless pit of money are still trying to short change smaller clubs.

Should have gotten a player with the deal. SSN saying 25mil... that's not enough.

Poll: Some scummer on the anus board reckons 80% of us want them to go down. so... do

It was always going to happen! We will move on, I think gomis will do a great job for us when he gets going.

You cannot compare the price of Luke shaw v wilf so why he has been mentioned is a mystery to me.

The likes of lukaku and benteke would prob sell for around 20m so I think the price is fair.

Deal is a flat 25M with add ons, i would not be suprised that if all the criteria was met then the deal would go north of 30M....................BUT..................with these add ons, do they all ever get met!?

Would not surprise me that there could be a player involved coming from Man City.

Luke Shaw 30m Wilfried Bony 30m...Hmmm

Agree, but Luke Shaw's transfer fee was absolutely ridiculous rather than Wilf's not being enough.
United were completely mugged off by Southampton on that one.

I thought that Lukaku joined Everton for £28M.

Indeed. And with Man City treading a fine line in an attempt to cooperate with financial fair play, I wouldn't be surprised if the figures are being massaged.

If we've accepted less than £30m guaranteed then we've been tucked up. Simple as that.

He did because he was at a big club, he's only 21 and it was all about his potential. That 'potential' has decreased with him now and if he was sold by Everton today.... There is no way he would go for that price!!!

I would guess 20m MAX

So he's lost £8m in value in just 6 months? Wow

My guess is that it's about 27 million.

There will be add-ons that may earn us 3+ million more over the next few years depending on how Bony and City do, but not guaranteed, and these would take it to a potential £30 mill.

Due to not wanting to be seen to having sold him for less than his worth (which it seems we have), we'll be promoting the £30 mill figure to all and sundry.

Enjoying the next level

Telegraph reports £25m with bonus payments up to £28m if Man City win League, FA Cup or Champions league in next four years and Bony plays in 60% of the games in that competition.

I'm disappointed if the fee is less than 30m up front, and many reports are saying it falls well short of that. I've also read that we have to pay 10% to Vitesse. Not overwhelmed to be honest, but there may be other conditions we don't know about. If Wilf was unhappy then I still do not see that waiting until the summer was such a big deal.

Funny how all the press organs are reporting different figures. It's almost as if the clubs are deliberately obfuscating.

Not if he wanted to go? we hung out for the best we could. We were never going to hold them to ransom because man city knew he wanted to go and we were always going to sell for a decent profit.

£25m cash up front is a lot of money even for Man City. FFP rules are no doubt a big consideration here, I doubt if there is anyone outside of the clubs who knows the actual fine detail.

He just signed a contract extension. He wanted to do that too.

Can't have it both ways.
