Looking at everyone else's fixtures, 37 points ought to be enough with the gap we have. Beating Norwich and Villa here is absolutely critical.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Not on the OP's schedule, Newcastle still has that 11th fixture to play with Man City.

When is the make up date for that one?

We need to be aiming for safety by the start of April.

12 Mar 2016 AFC Bournemouth (A)
19 Mar 2016 Aston Villa (H)
02 Apr 2016 Stoke City (A)

Just win the two home games. 36 points. As long as we get 4 points then out of the last 7 matches happy days for certain, but 36 should be enough imo.

Norwich play Sunderland and Newcastle both at Carrow Road for example. Not all three can pick up 100%, NE derby still to come as well.

Looking at the current table, it's not at all crazy to think the 18th place team will have less than 35 points.

Indeed. The year Cardiff stank out the PL and came last with the points total we have now in a terrible year for us with 10 games to go, 18th was Norwich with 33.

I think we'll need 37 though and I'll actually be disappointed now that we should have major confidence if we don't have that after the next 3 games.

Palace look like they have a tough run in, their form is terrible and Pardew, historically, tends to not fair well in the second half of a season. I think they may be outsiders for the drop. I think ourselves and Bournemouth can see ourselves out of trouble despite sailing close to the wind, we have the players in key positions to get some unexpected results. Newcastle will pull off the occasional surprise, but will get nothing from Sunderland as usual, Villa are past the point of no return, Norwich show signs of promise but cant buy a win.

I feel nervously optimistic

Saints without Long and Austin for their home game against Sunderland.

Our next three games are miles easier than the rest combined. We'll have a much clearer view of things by the time of the International break IMO.

Hopefully the players are all too aware of the importance of getting 6 or 7 points from our next 3 matches. I'd hate to go into our final seven games only 3 or 4 points above the relegation zone.

I don't necessarily agree with that. The Liverpool and Man City games may be easier as they may not be playing for anything.

Norwich is going to be a very tight game and one goal either way will be the winning margin. I think it will be a draw.

Bournemouth, tough place to go and a team still trying to make it safe.

Villa, on paper that is the easier one but we don't like to do it easy so who knows!

No time for complacency. Treat each game as if it's their last and we'll be ok.

Personally I'd rather play the teams with worse players. If we go into the last few games needing a couple of wins then we'll really be up against it IMO.

Hi press against all these, force the mistakes and then rest during the int break.

We should have enough in the tank to get some much needed points from other games (Like Arsenal), where we didn't expect much👍

Assume nothing. The players should know what they face.
It's intensive but it should really stimulate them . I just pray we never again stain our club shirt by starting gomis. He could cost us dearly . He s thst bad
