A fortnight in south west France with the wife & kids. Based in Bordeaux city boundaries for the first two weeks of Euro 16 in a rented olde worlds 2 bed town house. Intend to explore the city and nearby areas with the family the day before spending the evenings with mates and other kindred, desperate souls in the city fan zone.

I've been to Bulgaria a few times skiing but never been in the summer. The people are great and the beer is amazing. I've been looking for that kamenitza stuff everywhere over here but can't get hold of it.

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

I've got a quiet weekend booked in Toulouse, mid to late June, with my male acquaintances.

Then a more raucous week in Cala D'Or in August with my wife and 2 youngsters.

After Sunday's game heading to gatwick for a 6am flight to Nice. Then driving across Italy through Genoa, Pisa and Florence to Rimini and San Marino. Then two days in Venice and two at lake Garda before making our way back to Nice. Lots of pasta and vino (and coffee).

Apologies - it was a joke based on you staying with kids.

A very bad one :-)

Baltic for us. Another crack at the Hermitage, Peterhof and Catherine's Palace. Plus the Ballet, which, like Opera, bores me off my tits sadly. You can take the uncultured shit out of Penlan...

Don't let Julie Jones from Penlan school hear you say that mun. She'd slap you.

Romeo and Juliet (the Prokofiev) is simply brilliant although it's been spoiled a bit by them using it for The Apprentice

I love Prokofievs score for that. That and Swan Lake are the only two that I can sit through without looking at my watch. No girls allowed at penlan when I was there, and the only Julie Jones I knew worked at the Caeriethin chip shop. Can't see her doing Aida at the Royal Opera House, although I suppose you never know. She did have a few hidden skills, so I'm told.

If you've never been to that part of France I recommend the huge sand dunes at Dune du Pilat near Arcachon, especially with children/teenagers. Then head south to Biscarosse Plage for some cracking bodyboarding. The waves don't half smack you around though, the height of the waves were up to 10 feet high when we were there with some force behind them and the sand was a bit gritty, I loved it.

There's only one road from Bordeaux to Arcachon and it does get extremely busy so I'd suggest leaving early in the morning straight after breakfast, takes at least an hour to get to the dunes from Bordeaux but they're well worth it, you get a good workout walking/climbing to the top and those views from the top are fantastic.

Well worth a visit to Verona if you have the time. Half hour from Garda.
Don't forget to give Juliets boob a fondle if you get there.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

There is a Mcdonalds there too. Seriously worth a visit though and some cracking places to eat near the amphitheatre.

She was the music teacher in Penlan (although she wasn't Jones in those days, it was before she married John and I can't remember for the life of me what her maiden name was). Lovely woman.
