Doughty sadly had an awful game, yes he can play a nice pass but he then walks, we already had 5 at the back and at times it ended up being a 6. just does not have the legs to play in a 2 and it left `Luongo isolated. No surprise that Luongo picked up as soon as Manning came on and Manning is moving as soon as he has released the ball, and sprinting back or harrying when without it |  | | |

Unfortunately have to disagree, luongo was way off the pace today but so so so disappointed with doughty, too slow for this level im afraid.
Just pondered around, played one or two decent balls but then forgot the basics of schoolboy football regarding "not admiring a pass"... very frustrating. Admittedly Luongo didnt help whatsoever. The difference when manning came on was significant, so.much more awareness and energy. Hopefully im wrong but was not impressed especially with a new midfielder signing in the stands..... |  | | |

Agreed, you play the team that you know has done well today, and know that you may not get something out of Tuesday. 3 points out of two games would have been better than potentially zero out of two, and playing a stringer side at Newcastle.
