I was going to say the Blow Monkeys' Digging your Scene but then I thought I'd get ambushed by someone wearing an anorak so I checked and blow me monkey if they didn't have a few more hits I've never ever heard of. Bit of trivia is that my mate Dare (formerly Andy) Mason engineered their album Springtime for Hitler (well, for the World actually, but film fans will know what I mean), and his best mate is Marty Willson-Piper who features in the vinyl thread elsewhere on this forum - his vinyl collection resides next to Dare's studio in the by now surely infamous Penzance....
However, I have thought of another one that I really liked at the time and I can't be b*ggered to research it so I hope I don't get anoraked...
If Bailey doesn't qualify as a one hit wonder, this certainly does. It's just hard to even think of it as 'best'. It would have to be the worst value-for-money goal in our history.

A lot of punters mistakenly think this is a Curtis Mayfield groove. Not so! William DeVaughn's one and only chart-topper, a 1972 masterpiece.Quite beautiful.
