There was nothing unforeseen about Cardiff buying the player then being expected to pay for him. They should have the money waiting to be transferred. If they don't then serious questions would have to be asked about whether they ever intended to honour the deal (which I'm sure they did).
Losing the player and covering their own losses via insurance has nothing to do with Nantes. Hiding behind successive steps of the investigation into his disappearance and death in an effort not to pay is incredibly disrespectful to his memory. | | | |
