T' cricket 07:23 - Jan 11 with 17387 views | D_Alien | Anyone else been following the Indian tour of Australia? Three great matches so far, the third test just ended with India 330-5 after being asked to make 407. Looked on at one point before Pant was out for 97, but just 3 wickets taken on the final day All set now for the decider, and Rahane's captaincy has turned it around since the first test debacle under Kohli England due to start in Sri Lanka soon, too

Yep, ton up Survived a very marginal "umpires call" on lbw review just before tea, but simply destructive since Showing its possible to score readily once you're in... Edit: Gone! [Post edited 5 Mar 2021 10:50]

They've been playing with house money ever since they had their cha. At least Pant has gone. It's all gravy now for India.

101 in 118 balls when they were under pressure. Didn't see it but I assume it was good viewing Completely changed the momentum & we need Stokes to do something similar (as well as getting the last 3 out quickly first tomorrow morning)

Game gone by the looks of it. Looking marginally ahead this time yesterday, but 2 sessions completely dominated by India looks to have taken the game away. No reasons as to why England shouldn't look for a good score in the next innings as the pitch looks decent. No excuses, the first innings total just wasn't good enough & we are back to worries about the top 3 edit - a run out as I type double edit. Last 2 fall in 3 balls Sunder was on 96 with 3 wickets left & sees them all fall without him facing a ball. 85 not out last time too. [Post edited 6 Mar 2021 5:40]

It was looking bleak until those 3 quick wickets, but just a glimmer if we can somehow scrape 350 together Wicket looks decent enough, if we're good enough

T' cricket on 08:08 - Mar 6 with 1821 views | IOMDale | Some shocking dismissals this morning - Pope’s the latest. Just no need for charging down the wicket like that at all but then his six aside, he didn’t look comfortable at all against spin. India may not have to bother donning the pads again at this rate.

Noticed there were a couple of England flags in the ground - expats, or how does that work at the moment? At least, the Barmy Army has been spared a great deal of expense and trouble, although of course the tour would've been at a series of different grounds under normal circumstances

A Coventry City mate of mine is there, but he works in India. As you say, I assume they will be ex-pats like him. Quite a lot of Brits live out there

I am! Hornets and Wigan. To be fair, Hornets have got an outstanding board at present, Andy Mazey used to run things at Swinton and he’s very well-respected. Hornets should be looking to be there or thereabouts in terms of being promoted from Championship One at the end of the year; given both teams’ current fortunes, they’ll be sharing similar crowd figures in a few years’ time!

And a sensational start by England! First, a wicket maiden by Archer Then Rashid gets Kohli for a duck! *Edited [Post edited 12 Mar 2021 13:47]

ICC today rate the pitch as "average" for test cricket therefore no demerit points PS Very good article DA, really enjoyed it. Some cracking stats there, & quite right to point out that pitches that go the other way produce equally poor cricket, the only difference being at least the poor ones produce a result.
T' cricket on 17:53 - Mar 16 with 1101 views | D_Alien | Thought the T20s might be in danger of going the same way as the tests, after a bright start in both formats, but Buttler's highest T20 score plus good contributions from Malan & Bairstow saw us cruise home without even needing Capt. Morgan

"Jos Buttler's brutal hitting trumped the genius of Virat Kohli" Kohli hits a "thrilling 77 not out from 46 balls" Buttler "muscled an unbeaten 83 from 52 balls" Thrilling and genius for one side, contrasted with muscled and brutal for the other. Why? [Post edited 17 Mar 2021 0:16]

T' cricket on 18:50 - Mar 20 with 801 views | jpresto | When are the ICC going to get to grips with Virat Kohli. He shows no respect for umpires, verbally harassing them to try and influence their decisions; completely unacceptable. As a Lancashire League umpire, I would have him reported to the disciplinary committee for sure and he would get a 3 match ban.
