I have always thought that he had the ability and potential, but was lightweight, due to his lack of body weight and was easily pushed off the ball by defenders. The result was that his development seem to have stalled, unlike Baah, hopefully Coventry will get him back on track.

I must admit, I was shocked that we got money for him, but at least unlike Donnelly, Taveres as potential.

Whenever a player has pace it's endearing. Sadly he was lightweight and his touch was quite scrappy at times. There have certainly been some over excitable folks on twitter who had decided he was a wonderkid.

I'd sooner take the money, free up the wage and find a player who is a better fit for our current attacking style.

Was he out of contact in the summer? If he was I fully expected him to get released or at best a 1 year deal on not a lot.

I am absolutely staggered we got money for him as he has made no real impact at all last 2 years and got no better.

As surprised as others about the deal but can see that he's clearly been rated by BBM (who usually has pretty solid judgement). As others have said he is far too lightweight at the moment and reminded me of Gillam for his lack of impact on the pitch. 2 and a 1/2 year deal though suggests that Coventry think they might have a good player IF he can develop the muscle.
