"Due to results on the pitch, a new direction is needed. We believe the next five games against opposition in and around us represents a great opportunity to try and retain our League One status, which is why this action has been taken now."

Conclusion 1 resulting from taking no action now.

We will not entertain a new direction - results on the pitch no longer matter and are secondary to the process and philosophy.

Conclusion 2 resulting from taking no action now.

Our League One status no longer matters.

Chris Dunphy re James Mason, Oct 2018:

"We have made great strides off the pitch in recent years and I believe James’ appointment is an important step on our journey. He will bring a new professionalism to Rochdale AFC and I have no doubt he will move the club forward."

If there is one turning point in our fortunes, in retrospect, this is it - James Masons' rapid departure and the installation of our current CEO, ostensibly without due process

Are you saying that the current CEO was instrumental in removing a certain Mason...
Would that be down to Mr Mason being a person CD brought in......

I'm not making any such claim, hence the word "ostensibly", but it was imo THE turning point

The turning point in the ambition, expectations and mindset of Rochdale AFC all changed at the same moment in the clubs' history.

The Knights in Shining Armour are overdue. Better late than never.
