We need to take advantage of the good positions we've got into behind their defence. Both Beesley and Rathbone chose poor options when they did it.

Glad that chance didn't fall to Pitman. great save by Lynch though

Match Thread: Rochdale vs Swindon on 19:53 - Apr 13 with 1575 views | dawlishdale | well; we're winning at half time, but should have had at least one more but for poor decisions by Beesley and Ollie. In fairness; they should have scored one as well, thanks to a howler from Dooley. Osho somewhat fortunate with a very nasty challenge in the box. Like a bottom half league two game this; both teams way too slow.
Match Thread: Rochdale vs Swindon on 19:53 - Apr 13 with 1565 views | 442Dale | Should have made much more of the openings we’ve had against a team who appear to think that running whilst defending is not allowed until the next stage of lifting lockdown restrictions.

1-0 at HT. Without wanting to sound greedy after our resent results, we might regret not being 2 ahead. They don't look good but we have missed a few opportunities to get shots on target ( Ollie after a brilliant turn in the box at 0-0 & Beasley when he got tangled up when a shot was there for the taking) Nervous 2nd half in store but would have taken 1-0 at HT before we kicked off Come on Dale, keep the season alive a bit longer

Beesley’s movement, playing off the last man, is very good; just wish his timing was better as he’s been caught offside three of four times when through on goal. Osho a colossus at the back again but even Pitman looks off the pace for them and we know his record against us. Getting a fair bit of joy via the full backs so let’s keep making those overlapping runs and get bodies in the box.

Match Thread: Rochdale vs Swindon on 20:01 - Apr 13 with 1359 views | Sandyman | Gets to time added on and you wonder if we're going to concede. Swindon are that bad we got a counter attack and a corner. If we don't win tonight...
Match Thread: Rochdale vs Swindon on 20:05 - Apr 13 with 1267 views | 442Dale | After the Wigan result and Wimbledon looking set for victory, this is now beyond must win. We’ll be as good as down if we don’t. From there, even with three points, looking at the remaining fixtures we would probably then need another four wins and maybe a draw or two.

Unfortunately, with Wigan beating Sunderland and looking like a win for Wimbledon too, it won't leave us materially any better off in terms of relegation Edit: but not winning simply isn't an option [Post edited 13 Apr 2021 20:07]

I wondered that, as per Refwatch, but we regularly gets refs from Lancashire against non-Lancashire teams, so it's not as much of an issue these days.
