A true Dale fan died last Tuesday. Losing my dad hurt. He was a lurker on here rather than a poster but I'm sure some of you will know him or have seen him around. The club were brilliant and kindly announced his death and, in true Dale style, we couldn't hear it as the tannoy wasn't working in the Pearl Street. Being able to fly back to the UK and see a Dale win that keeps us safe was an appropriate way to honour him.

Details of his funeral can be found at https://charlespeacock.muchloved.com/

Commiserations, SalwaDale. I remember seeing him at Spotland regularly.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

So sorry to hear this and thoughts to your family right now. Your dad was a great bloke who always had time for a word whenever I saw you/him at games, that always meant a lot over the years.

Very sorry for your loss SalwaDale. I don't expect Sweetmore played a selection of Kinsfolk music pre-match? I'm still convinced I've got a couple of cassette tapes of the group your Mum and Dad were involved with.

Charlie was a lovely man, a true gent, and used to sit behind me in the Pearl St. We always had a chat at the match and we became Facebook friends, usually sharing Dale related comments. I was so sorry to hear of his death, my deepest condolences.
