I get that But if things were not going well behind the scenes, who plays their heart out. I just think a free signing would be handy with not much to lose . Certainly wouldnt pay for him mind

He was effectively a "free signing" when QPR decided against renewing his contract in the summer. In any event, there is no such thing as free in football; his wages alone would be a problem for a club counting its pennies.
