Some 33 year old who hasnt played for years..i say go with fisher and then if something happens to him, then get an erergancy loan in..ps i aint a massive fisher fan either..i'd rather see investment at rb and up top before the keeper position

All teams play beat the press these days, did you watch the Brighton game, or Man utd of late Yes they are better players, but it is risk football

And seeing it come straight back. Football has moved on.

I agree football has moved on and there is nothing wrong with playing out from the back in the right circumstances. The problem is we do it constantly, even when the players are tightly marked and it’s extremely risky. Even when they are not tightly marked they move the ball forward far too slowly giving the opposition as much time as they want to defend. [Post edited 30 Jan 2023 20:12]

Goalkeeper on 20:09 - Jan 30 with 1483 views | onehunglow | What hasn’t moved on is the fact it’s harder to score from 50 yards than it is from 5. I mean the bastards still don’t give points for possession percentages Worse, they allow goals to be scored when a team is trying to play pretty football.

I know just the 33 year old keeper we could sign.... Kris Nordfeldt. Even he is an improvement on Fisher i think.

Yes most do play the high press, but when the high press breaks down, teams try to hit back on the break. Whereas we tap it around in the middle of the field, which gives their defence ages to get back into position, nothing beats the high press like a bit of pace, we don't have any, and the sad thing is our manager doesn't seem to want pace.

Goalkeeper on 08:19 - Jan 31 with 1273 views | Badlands | Could be we are sticking with Fisher (previously Martin's favourite) and Webb. An emergency loan for a goalkeeper c@n be made outside the transfer window .. risky but doable.

I would prefer we take the risk and get a keeper in after the window, I think we would have more choice once squads settle down.

Oh god no! Fisher is poor, Nordfelt takes it to a totally different level.. just about the worst first choice keeper I can recall in a swans shirt in nearly 20 yrs

Fisher will cost us at least 12 points single-handedly. It is almost beyond comment
