I agree with your comments about Vilas. Good servant (and captain) over the years but his time is up.
I wonder as well if people will begin to question the need for the likes of Buttler and Livingstone to be around the place.
They only play in one of the domestic county competitions and Lancashire didn’t exactly cover themselves in glory in this year’s Blast to my mind. | | | |

They have spent a fortune redeveloping the stadium and last year made a record profit. Debt in itself is not necessarily a bad thing, depending on the terms of the dept. Long term debt on decent rates of interest to pay for infrastructure is fine, spending lots of money on wages that you cannot afford, less so. | | | |

Although we always lose more days than most to rain, this year seems to have been worse, especially games we have been on top. Full day lost today, draw in the last game when well on top. Will probably scupper our chances of a top 3 if we don’t get a result this game and Warwickshire win. Could even end up 5th. | | | |
