I wouldn't have minded signing him, about 7 years ago.

Turkish teams in particular are able to squeeze juice form veteran players. Bafetimi Gomis was still banging them in last season at 37. Some players can cut it others cannot It is a matter of genetics injury record and hunger.

I would favour creative players like Pirlo who are set piece specialists at corners and free kicks. We have Allen and that ha not worked out well but he does not do set pieces.

Bolasie is the same age as Maclean who has been a revelation for Wrexham and recently retired for the RoI. Bolasie was in the Turkish second league last season which is not great but scored a lot of goal and played 28 times.

If you can find an 'athletic freak' then it might work.

We’ve got 8 weeks to go until the end of the January window. Surely enough time to give Fletcher, Wilson or whoever else has pace/ promise, a start in the first team?
If it doesn’t work out, then give an aging winger (on a short term contract) a try, not before.

Has he been injured

Think he suffered a serious injury about the time when he was at his peak, which sadly for him he struggled to recover from.

All depends on how well he shows up in training and the rigours of contact in the tackle [game time is a different concept though] but if he looks good then he might be worth a short term contract and could be a valuable asset for the youngsters to learn from.

Yep, it's until end of January to cover us until the end of the window.

It was apparently on twitter late last night that it was 8 week deal.

Cover until the window.

Suppose if he does well then we could look into extending or alternatively gives him more options also.

That appears to be the case.

Think the Bolasie signing is because we are thin on the ground in forward positions.

Who's targets are they Watson, Hodge or Duff. I remember last January, hopefully this time people have learnt their lesson.

More recruitment professionals may mean a larger geographical focus. Europe Africa the Americas. That is where flavour of the month BHA are at.

Coleman and Gude need to back up their words and show a difference from the winter regime.

Swansea recruitment has been anecdotal it seems after Marin suggested "Marsh suggested Grant from his Huddersfield contracts". This does not sound particularly scientific. He scored today and is doing OK. Not the duffer some were fearful of.

Don't trust the recruitment team one bit after seeing jerry yates ,he's useless even though he scored yesterday,as a footballer he offers zero

I’m far more concerned with Duff persisting with Yates in that role than Yates himself. He’s being hung out to dry every week. Same goes for Cullen on the wing.

When Kukharevych is fit we need to find a way of playing one of them off him. Playing the same way game in game out when it doesn’t suit our available players is worrying and frustrating.

Fair comment but Jerry does seem very limited and ,at this moment, not a great buy .

He’s not going to improve if we keep playing him in this system. He’ll get the occasional goal like yesterday because he’s prepared to sprint in after a shot on the off chance the keeper spills it, but he’s never going to be Kieffer Moore.
