Obafemi 13:55 - Feb 11 with 3052 views | raynor94 | What a total waste of space, on loan now at Millwall and got subbed off early after contributing nothing to the team. We were lucky we got money for him

But, but, but ... Some people on here will tell you it's Russys fault he's gone 😂 - blind to the fact every manager has eventually got rid of him.

Talented player with bags of pace, but one who is destroying his career because of his behaviour, massive waste.

You are this and that, Without putting in the hard yards. He should of never of left us here! This season he would of been the main man here. The jerry money could of gone getting a support player. His lose another mans gain. Up steps Liam Cullen

💯 Also for Liams never say die attitude. He put in the hard yards and has never once put his own ambitions over OUR CLUB!

Obafemi on 13:31 - Feb 12 with 1509 views | vetchonian | contributed nothing? But Millwall's Michael Obafemi also went close with a shot straight at Coventry keeper Brad Collins, before the visitors stunned the arena by going in front. The move came straight from Millwall keeper Sarkic, whose long clearance was flicked on down the left and transferred back inside by Zian Flemming before Esse let fly, his powerful right-foot shot getting a big touch off Luis Binks to divert past Collins. Obafemi should then have made it two when he shot straight at Collins, before Coventry midfielder Victor Torp's free-kick was tipped over by Sarkic, and Kasey Palmer's shot was deflected over for a corner off Wes Harding Subbed at 63 minutes our Liam was subbed at 66mintes some posters have no understanding and are si so biased

The way I read that, he had two chances, put them both straight at the keeper and got subbed after an hour. Jerry Yates has had a few games like that and been slaughtered on here after every one of them.

Pretty much it, one he should have scored. I saw an interview with the Millwall manager last week and he said it was planned for Obafemi to play only half the match last week as he wasn't fit. Probably this week he was upping his game time. Irrespective if he comes good eventually it was the correct decision to get rid when we did.

That’s the risk with signing rough diamonds. Sometimes you get a gem, but often there’s a reason they’ve been bombed out elsewhere.

Yeah. There will be plenty of examples of it going either way. Could say the same about Rodgers in a managerial capacity. It’s not a surprise when it goes this way though.

He took up the challenge and rewarded the club as one of the best players for a number of years 👍

Obafemi on 17:03 - Feb 12 with 1236 views | ReslovenSwan1 | Obafemi seems an immature selfish player and not team player. He was handsomely rewarded at Swansea and should have known if he knuckled down like his mate Piroe the big bucks would come. Swansea city do not stop top players developing. No one who want to leave is tied down. However he put himself before the team and wanted a fast track to the Premier league before he had "paid his dues" and been a good professional for two years listening and learning from the coaches. He got to the premier leagues and has been found out for his short-comings he should have ironed out as a first teamer at Swansea. Now, he for the second time in his career has had to drop a division to get games. Some players only see the penny drop once they get to 24. Cullen has been developing iteratively for 4 season improving a little every season. I remain to be convinced Cullen is hungry enough to nail chance where it involves hard contact particularly getting his head onto crosses. A number 9 that shirks heading will leave a lot of chances slip by. [Post edited 12 Feb 18:46]

Some managers do get through to players. Some players are beyond saving and waste promising careers. Ravel Morrison was it, he could have been great. Mason Greenwood, not that Obafemi was going to be world class but he could have been good. Oba seems very much like a player who believed his own hype, probably had an agent telling him he was Michael Owen like and if he made trouble he could get a big move but he's gone nowhere good. What a waste, what a dick.

Liam went to Leyton Orient Accepted he needed to drop down. Has been done whatever has been has asked of him. Forever the professional. The mold of player that is rare to come by these days Liam spent his childhood head and shoulders above his pears. Honestly Liam is one of our own and should be rewarded with a better contract. Just to break down what I ment. Obafemi was a spoilt child who thaght the game owed him. Another double digit season and he would of got his 'big move' The Burnley move was stupid. He was also a disruptive influence in the dressing room. Him and pato (Yes Jamie we haven't forgot) Storming off like children not in the right mind to play. What would happen if we told our bosses sorry mate not in the right head space to work? p45 goodnight god bless. Honestly Liam is a gem 💎 I admire his skills that are rare in professional football. He is obviously from a good family!
