Looking back at the highlights I'm still not sure how Gordon puts the header wide at 1-2. That goes in and its probably game over and we are sat here 5 points ahead. |

The Southend away fixture was a game too far, literally, and too soon after the trip to Eastleigh... the team is running on empty from accumulated injuries and too many games since the New Year on heavy pitches.
With 6 remaining, there is barely any point in training beyond the tactical nuances and camaraderie, the squad is picking itself at the moment. We have an '"easier" run in now, with all to play for. I assume York might be feeling the pressure more because of falling short last season, so close to the finish line.
Whatever happens now, it has been a brilliant season on and off the pitch. The whole club is in a different place compared to the decline that had been obvious for over a decade, probably longer...At last the adults are in the building and the improvements on and off the pitch are manifest, the base is secure, the stars within our grasp. One last push .. 6 games....do or die.. ignore the doubters, let the opposition do the the worrying. |  | | |

On that Easter long weekend there's a couple of things I've been looking at (clutching at straws?).
We have what, on paper, looks like our toughest game (until York) at Hartlepool on the Monday but Hartlepool played Wednesday and follow it with a break this weekend then Tuesday-Friday-Monday. We need to be taking advantage of being the last of them 3 games in very quick succession.
York play Alty on the Monday who have it even worse with Sat-Tue-Sat-Tue-Fri-Mon so very little chance of an upset I reckon, especially now Howe has been recalled. Before that they have Boston on Good Friday who now don't have a game until then, so fingers crossed they'll be well rested but not stale to try get something from that game.
