The main thing i take from all of that is the demeanour of our co-chairman, he looks well. A man who has been to hell and back with the Club over the last few years or so. A permanent smile on his face from the start of the interview until the conclusion and it's great to see.

Good insight into the planning and structures in place around having targets in place for any managerial change. Clear emphasis around the club having a defined playing style which prospective future managers have to fit.
It allows those who we might target be fully aware of what they’re walking into and that applies to players and agents too. Rochdale has a culture and will play a particular way, with obvious evolution as individual coaches put their own stamp on it.
It’s unlikely the likes of Robinson, Wild and other journeymen managers who don’t play that style will ever be on our radar.

Surely the accusation was we were too wedded to passing it around until a gap appeared? That we mixed it up and went direct was also profitable. Can’t have it both ways and complain!
The structure and commitment to retaining the ball remained. It’s just that we weren’t playing very well, and we actually went long too much. So should we have just carried on keeping it at the back?!
That commitment to the passing football philosophy is what the club have when it’s recruiting managers, that’s been established over the last week.
Watson has even said he doesn’t intend to have his sides play up for someone to challenge for a header and hoping we win it then hoping we then pick up the second ball. He’s all about keeping possession too. The changes may come with the intensity and speed of attacks. The overall club philosophy stays the same.
We won’t ever see a Pete Wild appointment under the current regime.

Or the two lumps at Wembley. We’ve seen justifiable calls to find different ways to win, when we do that surely answers the question?
What was most noticeable late on in the season was how individual’s own form dropped. That in itself was the biggest factor in how we looked different. Gordon, Gilmour & TAR all good examples of this, which is fine as sometimes players at our level will see dips in form.
