You're asking for clarification, but i've asked you for clarification as to why you considered his interview in such a negative light
Don't ask others for clarification if you're not prepared to clarify yourself = which you haven't
I'm not quite sure how you expect a young player from a Premier League club to respond to some pretty inane questions? Do you seriously think he should be "over the moon" about playing in L2 for a northern club, completely outside his life experience to date?
I get that we think we're pretty okay in the north, but your expectations are way out, from a Whitworth perspective. Just get real. If the lad plays as well as his pedigree suggests, no-one could give a f*ck how he comes across at interviews

The interview does deserve criticism, the quality of the production is very poor and it shouldn't have been posted for public consumption. I'm talking about the sound levels, it's very muffled and too quiet. Wilson did nothing wrong during the interview. The media team need to look at that and also posting irrelevant things like Casey Petit and a butterfly..it's totally pointless when fans are waiting for relevant news and it's frustrating.
The delay in announcing signings is also disrespectful to the fans who don't delay when it comes time to spending a lot of money on season tickets. When a player is signed, get it announced at the time because all it does is give fuel to those 'in the know' who revel in leaking out the information prior to any official announcement and there's been a lot of that this Summer. Announcing signings when they happen also promote the feel good factor at a time when we are trying to sell season tickets. The Club and the media need to sharpen up, why did it take so long to announce yesterdays signings and who was resoonsible for the delay? I thought the sound was terrible too and I couldn't hear most of the interview. Surely they should have played it back and took the decision to perform the interview with better sound, whatever that takes.
This goes on for me to mention our interviews typically of our manager after the match. Quite often it is done next to the pitch...then miraculously the groundsman decides to mow the pitch!!!! The interview,for me, becomes hard to decipher and is therefore ruined. It happens quite often and I am puzzled why the interview process isn't robust in trying to optimise sound quality. |  |
