No reason why we cannot kick on now in our first season back in the EFL. .
We got our first glimpse of what this group of players are capable of.
The difference between our last home game (Crawley) and Tuesdays performance was night and day. I left Spotland on Tuesday night with new found positivity, certainly we are heading in the right direction.

Everything comes down to who is fit. The preview on the official site says that Ebanks-Landell, Sherring and East are doubts. Maguire, Beckwith, Rodney and Heyes are close to return but not available for today and that Bilongo, Pettit and Jenkins are long term injuries.
Is Taylor trusted to play left back against Gillingham? He played really well on Tuesday but was not tested much defensively. [Post edited 5 Sep 13:29]

Mani is being both man handled and not strong enough to hold up the ball which led to their goal. We have not been terrible but also not done much. All these balls into the box are great but you have to have a target. Would have draw written all over it but wonder goals changes games.

Pretty much my thoughts. We look ok but not as attack minded as on Tuesday. A few shots needed, together with a few more runs from midfield to compliment the hard work of Adeeko, who was very good.
Mani needs to go to the gym; he's getting outmuscled too often for a big chap.
Their goal was a lovely shot but surely he had way too much space cutting in from the right wing? Apart from that, Gills look fairly agricultural and I wouldn't be surprised to see a few more cards after half time. | | | |

That’s why I said the first line. It was a question for someone posting when we lose as against to when we win.
We had it last season too. If you want a manager out, fine. Stick to it, irrespective of wins.
Onto today, that we didn’t make a sub at 2-0 was very worrying and follows the pattern of non/reactive substitutions when it’s too late. Leaving out TAR after being part of a winning side is an awful message to send.
