For all this “nice little club” drivel that some spout on here, it should be remembered that they cheated their way up to the Prem in 2015 and got little more than a slap on the wrist.

Their disregard for the rules was arguably much more cynical and over a longer period of time than Saints.

Boscombe, good team….,.
Their ground is full every game, 11,000 go home happy.
During preseason they have a bubble when playing Poole.

Like a few on here, yes we used to look out for them, cheer at the 1/2 time score if they were winning.
We used to go play a pre season game down there, I think we even helped out by sending a groundsman when they were struggling financially and I remember the buckets outside to collect money for them.

They came up here in a cup selling out their allocation when there were only 9k odd attending at Dean Court, ‘‘twas a big game for them.

Kind of good luck to them now, I am jealous of how well run they are & the ‘success’ they are currently enjoying though with the new SCR rules, I don’t think it will last.
There are maybe 6 teams that I will hedge my bets on that could go down this season & they are one of them.

But…I can’t stand their new fans who start lording it over you as soon as you tell them you’re Saints.
‘Oh you’re a scummer then?’…nah, sorry fk em, not no more.

Used to be the same with the taffs & jocks when I was young, met too many with chips on their shoulders as I got older, not all but a lot hate the English & don’t hold back by telling you so.

So sooner their bubble bursts & they settle back to the nice sandy beach team down the road, the better.

Bournemouth are just a small club down the road, who have never averaged over17,000 crowds over a season, even when the capacity was 26,789.

We hate Pompey, nobody gives a monkeys or even thinks about them.

When we were back in Lg1, weren't we averaging around the 20,000 ish? I'm also sure we hit the club record attendance that season as well against Exeter on Boxing Day approaching the 31k mark

Poll: Are you renewing your season ticket
