| Stats Magic: Rochdale v Bristol Rovers on 12:45 - Oct 30 with 1462 views | D_Alien | Great new feature on here, and very welcome in the absence of matchday programmes There's always one or two stats that stand out: The goals-per-game ratio and 0-0 being the most common scoreline (i'd always thought of games against Brizzle as having plenty of goals) Also, the lower gpg ratio against Bournemouth, although that's probably coloured by a brilliant 3-3 draw i saw in the early 70s and our 0-4 win there in 2009 [Post edited 30 Oct 2020 12:46]

| Stats Magic: Rochdale v Bristol Rovers on 14:01 - Oct 30 with 1388 views | DaleiLama | A tasty little hors d'oeuvre to get us in the mood for tomorrow. Loved it. Might it be worth also including info on whether we are running a coach to the corresponding away fixture though, for those fans who go out of their way to promote this football club? It could be argued it's how a football business should work? Assuming we are ever allowed to watch football again? | |

Could be wrong, but i'd expect this feature to return to the matchday programme when we're back watching live? (i.e. not be featured on here)

I saw an online programme for the Accrington vs Dale game a few weeks ago, and it was very impressive and free to all. Any chance that the club could produce a similar programme? Perhaps they could sell it together with Golden Gamble tickets or some other scheme? | | | | Login to get fewer ads

From my point of view, it’s unlikely. I’m a great believer in a physical copy, rather than a digital download, something the club agree with. Unfortunately, physical copies aren’t feasible in the current climate as sales figures wouldn’t cover costs and justify the time spent putting it together. Accrington’s digital version was compiled by their media department as a trial and as part of their matchday output, but I’m not sure if they’ve repeated it since or if they intend to moving forward. I also believe the costs involved in designing the layout and formatting it for download were subsidised as part of a sponsorship deal. Most clubs at our level report very poor sales of their digital downloads, something I was discussing with Oxford’s programme editor this week. He says they aren’t sure how much longer they’ll continue with it. Scunthorpe told me the same. Hopefully we’ll be back for the 2021/22 season. I had quite a lot of new ideas, but I’d rather save them for a full campaign than just use them for a partial season. It’s all a shame of course and was something I agonised over for quite a while in the summer. This is my first season off programmes since 1997/98, whether contributing or editing, and I’m quite enjoying the break. It’s given me more time to update and improve all my records and spreadsheets, which should be more beneficial for future seasons.
