Currently the schedule consists of fixtures at Hitchin Town (free to over-80s!), Bedford Town and Boreham Wood, with Portsmouth at home. That leaves Dale behind closed doors at a neutral venue.

We've obviously developed a relationship with them over Osho, while Nathan Jones said in an interview last season how often they had watched Norrington-Davies when he was on loan with us.
It's clearly just a convenient friendly for whatever reasons. I'm not sure what the fuss is about. [Post edited 11 Jun 2021 22:40]

Agree with that about the lack of player news, but I would imagine the changes at boardroom level are partly influencing that.
The why, where and how of a friendly against Luton are completely separate issues that probably have a very simple explanation. | |
