Macc Docu 12:09 - Nov 12 with 2402 viewselectricblue

Just finished watching the Docu on iplayer about Macclesfield FC well worth an hr of any supporters time.

Savage is heading for an heart attack if he dont calm it......

Never really had an opinion on Savage before, but he didn’t come across well for me.

The ongoing jokes about ‘sacking’ people (presumably just because he can) was tiresome and typical of somebody who doesn’t have to worry about money for the rest of his life.

“He was deliberately misleading the EFL”

I thought it was a great documentary, but as you pointed out, as an owner he's condescending at times, I trait I hate in people.

Good documentary and it has to be said they've done a really good job at the ground, in improving facilities and hospitality etc.

Agree about savage, he may as well just make himself the manager with the way he gets involved. Really frustrating to watch

Possession with progression.

Until I weaned myself off the R5L phone-ins on a Saturday, Savage's early contributions always, always, were to ask any contributor with whom he disagreed:

"Have you played the game at a professional level? No? I have."

On that basis he would shut down whoever was contributing.

Phone-ins might be mindless, angry and shouty, but without the contributors there is simply no show at all. And therefore no job for Savage.

To be fair he has settled down since those earlier years.
