The version you used, including the space, requires as many characters as Scunthorpe, therefore not saving time. Plus it wouldn’t have needed the further correction and explanation after!

Read a report of that game, Broadbent was at fault for the first Scunthorpe goal.

That Halifax Town/Hertha Berlin game is a funny one as you say.
It was played at the FA HQ at St George’s Park but from what I can gather they only played 45 minutes before the Germans then played Salford in the second half!
Halifax should have played Salford apparently but the Class of 92 outfit were double booked with Hertha hence the compromise.
Good experience for them.

Salford were already due to play Halifax when Hertha Berlin asked Salford for a friendly. They then had the idea that all three teams played each other in the 45 min games.
