.........was supposed to be in Snaresbrook Crown Court yesterday but nothing has 'flashed up' on Google Alert. Was he in court? Has the case been postponed? Has the charge been dropped? All very bizarre.

The hearing did take place yesterday between 11-37am. and 11-53am a total of less than 17 minutes. What I cannot find is the outcome. Perhaps it will be published later today?

Plea and case management is basically the first steps of Crown Court for a referred case.

Bobby will have entered a not guilty plea and then the lawyers/court will have agreed what happens next - timings etc.

The only reportable thing therefore would be the date for the trial to commence proper.

Exactly! Had this case involved legal aid (or whatever it may or may not have been re-titled), it wouldn't have got past the touch line!!

That decision should have been made even before Grant received his summons to attend Barkingside Magistrates Court.

No evidence = no case to answer = no court appearance.
