I think I may have some duplicate QPR handbooks from that era. I'm away at the moment but will have a look next week and if so will contact you via dm. |

Such sad news. Ted's comments on here were usually spot on. I empathised with many of his views, particularly about the modern game. His love for the R's and his family always shone through - along with his dislike and contempt for Reading. Condolences to his family, he will certainly be missed. |

USA international centre half Oguchi Onyewu and Uruguay international Javier Chevanton - both brought in under Rosie the dog's owner during the 2013-14 season. Chaventon managed two substitute appearances whilst Onyewu was an unused sub on several occasions. [Post edited 19 Oct 12:59]

 | Forum Reply | Why QPR can't escape Loftus Road at 11:23 19 Oct 2026
We certainly did own a number of properties around the ground. They were bought with the intention of expansion, but had to be sold to keep the club afloat. Somewhere I have newspaper articles from the time that go into more detail......Edit...details below from one 1948 article.... THE GROUND IS THEIRS FOR £26,250 Queen's Park Rangers, as part of their long term planning, have completed the purchase at a cost of £26,250 of their ground, together with the land of 39 near-by houses. Rangers' eventual object is to make a vast stadium of the Loftus Road ground, with stands on all four sides. Looking at aerial photos of the time I think the 39 properties would have included all on Loftus and Ellerslie Road which adjoined the ground. [Post edited 19 Oct 12:09]

It's not the first time that the team from East Manchester have been found guilty of breaking the rules. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ https://gjfootballarchive.com/ It was thought that the footballing authorities at the time issued such a heavy punishment because City were viewed as upstarts who were a threat to the then established football league clubs. |
 | Forum Reply | Kone knee injury - Not ACL, but serious at 12:22 25 Sep 2026
I was at the Bolton U21 game on Monday and the assault on Kone was pretty much right in front of me. A dreadful tackle, made worse by the fact that Kone was on the turn when the impact occurred. Richard was on the ground for a good two or three minutes and clearly in some pain. When helped to his feet he was unable to weight bear on his injured leg. It was a painful watch to see him limp to the touchline with the assistance of the medical team. My fear at the time was that he had damaged his ACL and I view the news that he hasn't as a bonus. Regardless - I dont think we will see him for at least a couple of months. One positive from the day was that Kolli looked very good during his 35 minutes on the pitch. [Post edited 25 Sep 12:27]

In the early 90's we used to regularly run coaches from the Northwest down to home and away matches. AKUTR'S Dave Thomas was the main organiser. Happy days. |

There are about eight of us based in Warrington and it's surrounding area. Mini Chesh (his height not his age) and I are matchday regulars. It's not uncommon to have up to four of us discussing all things QPR at Warrington Town matches. |

I saw him play one of his last games for Royal Antwerp towards the end of the 24/25 season. He scored two goals away at Ghent and was by far and away the best player on the pitch. He got a great send off from the Antwerp fans that day. Good to see he is still playing at a decent level |

I was at the Reebok about twenty years ago to witness Les Ferdinand scoring as a late Bolton sub against Manchester United. Other connections are former R's loanee Kieran Lee, development squad youngster Brandon Comley and 2014 play off hero Gary O'Neill [Post edited 19 Aug 19:40]

Great to meet up with Dom again on this trip. I don't think he will be paying for many drinks when he comes over for the Sheff Utd game at Bramhall Lane later this season. Top man. |
