The Football Club LLC - Plans for Rochdale
at 16:53 14 Mar 2024

Like most glossy brochures it doesn't really tell you anything in depth. Today is/was a chance to really deep dive into their plans and the sums behind them, but it's just more talk. They're unhappy about the exclusivity period WSH have been awarded, so get out there and put out more details. Real information not just the same meaningless stuff they already have.

Dale Trust Meeting With WSH LLC
at 13:25 14 Mar 2024

No that is wrong. It has been confirmed that Dyer wasn't introduced by the earlier broker.
Out of interest, why does TFC going to games make them a better option?
Yes the world has gone mad.

When I first tried to read their website it was blocked and I was warned it might be a scammer site trying to steal my money 😂 I think because they'd knocked it together in 10 minutes on squarespace and the SSL certificate hadn't been set up properly.

There's a lot of fan service in what they say. The golden share and percentage to the trust doesn't really amount to anything. It may just be terrible communication on their part but there's something off about the whole thing. Hopefully they'll provide facts and honesty rather than hyperbole on the 14th. It's certainly good there's at least a second party.

All the hours of googling i've done on World Soccer Holdings LLC and Scott Dyer result in legitimate interests in Sports and Football. Bob Heere ( https://cob.unt.edu/user/2685 ), who is also a partner in WSH and on the board of MVV Maastricht, has a strong academic background in sports management and brand development. It isn't the usual trash football club saviours bring.

I know many of us often wonder what an American company want to do with Rochdale. We should remember that Rochdale is the birth place of the co-operative movement and that still means something to some people.

I'm naturally sceptical and whilst I believe they have funds, nobody knows exactly how much. However in the grand scheme of things, there are far, far worse potential "saviours".

They own a stake in MVV Maastricht.

It looks like they nearly bought into ADO Den Haag before a disagreement with their then owners. Den Haag were eventually bought by the folk who own Crystal Palace and loads of other clubs.

On first glance it does look promising. Certainly a world above some clowns who wants to build Crossroads Motel off Sandy Lane.

My first time using this service. Same issues. I'm on a full fibre connection and no wifi so it's definitely issues at their end. Is it always like this?

A perfectly valid question if asked in a proper way. It was worded like a tabloid hack would and had any of the board given the answer the asker was aiming for, it could potentially add to those huge headaches.

Correct me if I am wrong, but having asked your 'question', when Delves attempted to answer, you interrupted cockily with something along the lines of "You don't get to give your own appraisal"? If I heard correctly, then how exactly was that a question of any use? You never questioned the function of the club. You publicly targeted an employee. Totally unacceptable and honestly something straight out of a bury fc forums. If I however misheard you and that wasn't said, I apologise.

He looked really fast and tricky on his debut against Oxford United I think. I left the ground overhearing someone say he was "mint". He played quite well to be fair, but I recall that being about that.

Maybe Wrexham and a couple of other teams pay big but this affects other teams too. I personally would be ashamed if we ever failed to look after a player who got injured whilst representing Rochdale AFC.

It told me similar wonderful advice. I asked it for player recommendations, it said...

I'm sorry, I cannot suggest specific players as I do not have access to current transfer market information or current performance statistics of specific players. However, generally speaking, when a team is looking to improve, they might consider bringing in players who can fill key positions or add depth to the squad. For example, a team might target players who can provide more goals or help shore up the defense. Teams might also consider bringing in players who have experience playing at a higher level, as this can provide valuable leadership and quality to the team.

It's important to remember that improving the team is not just about bringing in new players, but also about making sure that the current players are performing to their full potential and that the team is working well together as a unit. Therefore, it might also be important for Rochdale to work on improving the performance of the players they already have, as well as working on tactics and formations that suit the team's strengths.

We then had a long conversation about tactics, where it told me nothing. Eventually I explained we're doomed and it said

Accepting relegation and focusing on the future can sometimes be the best option for a struggling team, especially if the team is facing significant financial or other constraints that make it difficult to turn things around.

before some wise closing words...

It's important to remember that while relegation can be a difficult time for a club, it can also provide an opportunity to reassess and rebuild for the future. The key is to approach the situation in a positive and proactive way, and to focus on building a strong foundation for the future.
