Always feel that Rangers need to score first at home, if we get a goal ahead in this one then don't think we will lose. Trouble is we don't always get that 2nd goal to give more breathing space. Think this one will be a 1-1 draw as our tendency to go passive from a period of domination at home tends to be our problem. Hope to see Ronnie Edwards in the Madsen role as to me he looks like he could be very good in that position. |

You do wonder whether the off field problem the conviction etc. must have had a big effect on him and this may have affected both his physical and mental well being, it's no coincidence that since all the stuff about his offence came out a couple of years back that his injury problems started. Remains to be seen whether his good form returns was always hoping that Stephan was going to use Chair in a more central midfield role this season, but unfortunately this has not been able to happen. |

They are all over trained, protected and made of glass these young modern footballers, further accentuated by all the back room staff at the football clubs. Analysts, trainers, coaches for this coaches for that a right old gravy train. Go back to the Venables days for example you had about 15 or 16 players in a squad, manager and a coach plus a couple of physios. Now it's a total bloated payroll protecting these so called assets that can't seem to manage a couple of games a week. |

Can we just forget about Celar ever being in a QPR shirt again, as he is bloody useless and a bit of a costly mistake . Alfie Lloyd is a trier, I like him, hopefully there is still a future for him at QPR. Sam Field is being primed for a sale in my opinion and if he performs at Norwich there is a good chance we could get a decent fee for him at the end of the season. |

I always felt that the Hull game was winnable, but just didn't fancy us at Southampton for a lot of reasons laid out by Clive. That said I didn't put us down for a 5-0 thrashing, but once that 2nd went in, thought we are in trouble here. But Southampton are a team that can draw on an expensive range of talent in this division by the virtue of their status and plans for promotion. Basically beaten by a much better team, but agree the manner of the defeat, standards etc. has the usual question marks about what goes on at QPR. The next two home games are tough as well against a team that should be higher up in the table and another who are pushing for automatic promotion. Can the Rangers step up, not sure? |

Think sometimes we have to admit that teams are better than us, which Southampton are with the resources they have at their disposal. It can be argued that we should not be being walloped 5 nil, but this is the case when you come up against an in form team who can turn it on at this level, that was proved at Leicester the other week when they got that 4-3 win. QPR have to work hard for their wins because we don't have the strength of personnel that the top teams in this division have, expect if we had two or three of our better players available then the result would have been closer. |

There must be something wrong with the fitness regime, but could it be some of this in game without the possession strategy is very tiring and if you are forever chasing the game, there is a chance that muscle strains are more likely. Are players in the modern game overtrained? Looking at Southampton they were on the front foot most of the game, passing through and neatly to each other, we play too deep spend a lot of time without the ball and unable to hit our target men, who spend most of their time trying to criss cross the opposition defence feeding off scraps. Although Madsen's injury was in an attacking phase, it's not gone unnoticed for quite a few games he has been up and down the pitch clearing up etc and looks like his body has just reacted to this, a bit like Burrell and all his chasing around game after game. |

What I took away from last night was that basically Southampton have better players, whereas at Hull we could match them, because they are not as good as Southampton. If we had access to two or three of our injured better players we might have had a chance of getting something, but when you look at the players we brought on you sort of knew we could not match Southampton and being two or three down, the game had gone. Southampton are an improving well financed team with Prem parachute money who for me look in a strong position for the play offs and have been performing below par this season but and are now getting into gear. We are inconsistent and don't have the resources to kick on, the results at Hull and last night as well as against Blackburn tell us this. The manager knows this, but he has a duty to get a tune out of his players at his disposal at the next game, especially at home. Sheffield United and Boro are going to be two tough matches, one is a bit like Southampton under cooked this season, while the other is a top team at the moment in this division. This is overall a better season for us than last year but are we are falling into our usual early late winter/early spring slump, it's a trend which has dogged us since we left the Prem in 2015. The gap between the haves and have nots in this division is clear to see and shown tonight. Didn't expect us to do much at Southampton, but we should expect better. Southampton are better financed and probably will be in the play offs, we just need to try and get some traction and at least turn up at home to Sheff Utd on Saturday. |

Had some great days out at the old Dell back in the 1980s, when QPR and Southampton were 1st division clubs, though I can't remember us winning there when I went. [Post edited 24 Feb 15:12]

The first season at the age of 12 I started really supporting QPR. My Dad took me to the Ipswich and Leeds home matches this season and my continual love of QPR was born from this date. My Dad also worked as a pools agent for QPR in the 1970s and knew Tony Ingham quite well, and asked him at Christmas 1975 if some of the players would sign a Christmas card for me, which they did and I still have it today. |

To be honest I thought Blackburn were pretty decent yesterday, they were tactically and physically stronger than us. Watching them line up in the 2nd half they basically had all 6ft plus players in the whole team against our midgets. Our recruitment still lacks the height and strength needed to be really serious contenders in this division. |

I agree Blackburn tactically and physically much stronger than us, beaten by a team better set up than us. Our mistakes were punished, theirs never led to anything for us. Lot of square pegs in round holes QPR team in my opinion, probably not helped by the injuries. Bennie and Vale really off the pace of the game and Blackburn's no.25 probably the best player. |

Poor today, they took their chances, we created nothing. Blackburn's no.25 rang rings round us and being their smallest player headed in the killer 3rd goal. Can't understand why Smyth did not start today on the right as Bennie had a bit of a mare, and really should have been subbed at half time. Hope Madsen injury not too bad as it did not look good. |

Although I find Frank annoying, he had a good number and set up at Brentford, of which Keith Andrews is continuing to deliver, well at least for this season. Spurs have just become a corporate venture, stadium, NFL, concerts and a football team. |
