Sanyaolu is a right sided winger, Nkeng is purely left sided based on below highlights. The depth would be Saito/Nkeng then Poku/Smyth as wingers with Vale/Chair being used centrally now

Well it's not exactly some random guy, he's been Sunderlands left back for what, 4 or 5 seasons now? Regular in their promotion season, was very highly rated by their supporters. On a permanent that's an excellent deal and we have great competition in the left back position now |

His wiki page says he played Sunday league for a team in Ladbroke Grove so that definitely figures.
Echo what a poster said above, this is a good opportunity to build up our midfield depth and we definitely shouldn't be getting rid of anyone. Madsen, Varane, Kamara, Isak, Vale, Morgan... maybe 1 more? |

Yep that's all spot on. I have cautious optimism with this. If we can get him playing and he's even 50% of the player he was at Brighton then we'll have one of most talented players to play for the club in some time. We're talking about one of the most highly rated young fullbacks in PL just 4 years ago touting transfers for 40-50m. On paper it's still unbelievable, really hope it works out for us and him. |

Should have just replied but I don't think bringing unsubstantiated rumours like that is helpful, all I've seen is Brighton fans buzzing for him, many ex teammates (both Brighton and Fiorentina) wishing him luck. Seems like a very popular figure and I think he comes across very well in his first interview. Also such a shame Jimmy Dunne and Harvey Vale are bringing such toxic traits from their United and Chelsea academy days 
Nothing but positives with this for me. Low risk, massive upside. Says he is fit and looks sharp in training videos, hopefully see him match fit early this season. Still only 25, he'll know this is his chance to get his career back on track. I hope he does well [Post edited 22 Jul 14:36]

That's right Stainrod, was a loan with a buy option upon getting promoted, St Ettienne didn't get promoted by the way so it was not a favourable deal whatsoever.
Also along with the "It's been no secret Varane has been demanding out for a year", seems like whispers from a mate are just being told as facts now. Try watching Varane belt out Silver Lining at the end of each game, jumping into the stands with fans and tell me that's a guy sulking and wanting to get back home. Cooper and Field are players that recently wanted to move on and the club duly obliges.
You can think anything about the hierarchy but I do think it's clear that the selling policy and ability to move on players has improved. That will ultimately be judged on an impending "big sale", but the lack of "hanger ons" is great both financially and for the morale around the club. |

Lots of shot stopping practice at least!
I think as what may have been mentioned before, his number of games would be higher without the injury troubles he's had, which is what makes this Ward signing such a great move as it looks like we'll have a very competent backup / future no1.
City aren't paying the 10m+ for no reason and I also think it's a good look for the club that they are trusting us over a Wrexham with a young player they clearly rate. Likely an unpopular opinion, but such relationships in the past have helped us massively (Spurs with Taarabt, Walker). As long as the player elevates the team, which in this case I think it's a clear upgrade compared to recent years [Post edited 9 Jul 14:00]

Would be remiss to not mention his international career also. 1st choice recently playing in games vs France and Italy. That's got to mean something when it comes to experience, even at that age |

Pearman is definitely more of a 10, he has 14 goals in 25 games for the DS this season now and I think most of them would be goal of the season contenders, he certainly knows how to finish

Agree and it's great we have these players in the pipeline that you hope can contribute at League one level minimum. I think there will be keen eyes in preseason on the likes of Pearman, Dillon, Alemayehu, Brew, Sanyaolu. Well done Rs and regardless of the level of opponent, I think it's an important step to form a "winning mentality" in the grassroots of this club, can certainly do no harm |
