Putting some good crosses into the box helps, Vipotnik had a couple of headed goals last season.

Glad to see Idah getting on the end of that cross and dfinishing it so well.
On initial games I thought Opoku would be the winger to watch but Yeo has been great and this with amidfield that has been chopped and changed but then again credit to Matos with selection and rotation.to suit who we play and who to bring on to best effect, he has been force into some descions by injury and seeing Franco coming back, that midfield has a lot of options to pick from, long may our good fortunes continue.
Are referee's descions determined or given by our position in the league? Which then works in the higher teams, us included, favour? [Post edited 11 Oct 15:16]

And yet it was Fulton's interceptions that pushed Norwich's attacking moves on the back foot, very hard to pick out individuals as the team is stepping up as a whole, mistakes maybe made but that dread of going one down is being proved as unfounded. Stamenic is going tobe part of our future but he has still got a few thing to learn from Fulton yet.

Blackburn supporters buses stopping at the same services as our buses before the game but on opposite sides of the motorway, joined by an overhead walkway. Can't remember anything too untoward happening though. [Post edited 8 Oct 11:58]

Playing in his preferred position.I rather see him play on the right hand side of the defence, yes his central defence position means he has to cover the left hand side at times but as the low cross into six yard box from the left showed he is not as comfortable dealing with them. Which is why having Welsh in the Swans central defence makes it look a lot more comfortable could the same be said for Lissah as well. Horses for courses at times, Cabango and Davies played well together but we will need to find the future central pairing given Davies age , Neco Williams looks happier on the right as well and Dasilva also played well, looked like a settled back four.
A very uncomfortable last 15 minutes though we allowed them to push on giving them time on the ball to play the football in our half we had denied them previously, for the most part.
Happy for the Welsh win and happy for the Swans to see Cabango come through the game. |

Footballers want to play and don't want to let team mates down but they are not indestructible, Giggs had to change the way he played the position he played and regulated how often he made himself available for Wales and prioritised games as well making himself unpopular with some, in his case hamstring issue the curse of wingers or in our case fullbacks, wingbacks however you want to describe them.
Hope Cabango is backed with any decision he feels he needs to make. |

I would say on looking at the footage an injury to the ankle previously damaged and the cause of his absence for us.
There appears to be a weakness there that the type of contact you expect a centrehalf to make can aggravate.
Som times that contact or twisting can be run off others may taken an amount of rest, heavy strapping may be needed to protect or strengthen it along with suitable physiotherapy. Ankle injuries are hard to remedy and are hard to rectify ask Michu there was frustration on Cabango's face.
As a Swans fan I don't think or want Cbango to play again in this international break. |

Remember going to Stokes ground and the touchline were obviously altered brought in the reduce the pitch, with Lincoln it allowed the long throws to end up deeper into the penalty area. To no avail😋 |

I think Cabango got a little impetuous on his return from injury trying to prove himself after seeing the Lissah and Welsh pairing, I think he has settled back in now, as the pairing was working well before his injury. Lissah at the start of the season at fullback did well initially then moved inside just think he needs to settle back into the fullback position again.
Were anybody surprised or nervous at Welsh being taken off in the end but Seelt did well, Matos seems to be getting things right even though he has had to deal with a number of injury, the benefit of having strength in depthin the squad? |

Really think Widell will improve, liked him in the centre on the lefthand side and thought he just needed time to adjust to playing on central on the right hand side. With Eustaquio, Eom, Widell, Just and Franco in the central roles it is looking good for the future and Stamenic is now starting to look a lot more comfortable in that central role with busy ball winners showing a little more composure when needed, it did get scrappy in the end but job done.
As for the wing play it got stifled leaving us unable to get in behind initially. Widell now starting to cut in as Eom did originally but Eom's game has gone up a notch and it looks as if Widell is going in the right direction.
If we can cut the lines of defences that drop back as we did against Lincoln then things will only get better🤞🏼 |

Any cover for Key and Lissah on the right? We saw last season having Parker was needed to fill the gaps left by Key's injury issues and to protect Ward over the ninety minutes. In the heavily congested fixtures period who is going to cover Lissah if required? Can we recall Parker due to injury issues and is Parker getting game time, on the bench in Wycombe last game, he had first team experience at seventeen and last season did very well when called on. At twenty he seemed good enough, should he be in our squad not playing second fiddle as a loan player to an established player in the lower league. |

That ugly long ball football has a place in the game when you have the players who give you the option to profit from it Halland being an example but thought Lincoln used it too often in the end and became predictable and also left themselves open to a third.
Glad we mixed our play up because our attacks down the left faltered and got cut out leaving us on the back foot.
Job done happy. |

Think that was defected back in towards the post off one of our players and "may" have kept in, good save if it was and prevented a corner anyway.

Tymon had a good game with a couple of mistakes, the penalty was very reminiscent of how Grant Holt won things against us. The main mistake in that case is the referee's and he knew it and wasn't going to give the second penalty shout a look in after it.
In many ways Lincoln played at time similarly to us with the long cross field ball and the long ball from the keeper when our press was held after going up but they resorted to it too often, yes they gained territory enough for their long throws into the box but we managed to repel that threat.
Did they sit off at the start of the second half and get done in key moments of a game before and after half time, it would seem that at lot of games have their moments to turn games around, and did they leave gaps eventually as they pushed up.
As for Just playing well it will be interesting to see how Matos uses or fits Widell, Just and Eom when they are all available if Stamenic and Eustaquio are deemed as first choice starters and then you have Franco to add to the mix.
Hard fought and deserved away win, wasn't it the only away one yesterday. |

That is impressive given the number of teams who resort to winning set pieces towards the end of games. Today we got the ball on the floor quicker in that early second half.To a degree we stopped playing the predictable down the flanks game being closed down, very hard to get any forward momentum for our forwards with their backs to the opposition goal. Job done getting back in the game, then to go ahead and then to shut them out. The first goal suck the opposition into the middle which then left space out wideexcellent cross and movement for the goal.
As for a deflected shot on the edge of the box more than happy to take a chance of a shot, we tried it a number of times glad to have the win |
