Excellent! For one game only (a 1-0 defeat to Italy in November 2000).

Should be the Piss Prize if the rumours are correct (cue $1bn lawsuit).

You could always limber up by walking the Speyside Way, NewYork. Over 50 distilleries en route apparently. I did it with some Citeh mates a few years ago (even lived to tell the tale!)

After Derby’s endorsement it sounds like his grandson’s friend might be one of them, Lblock.

I realise the British motor industry is in decline but might there be any other suitable works or factory teams left in the competition that could fit the bill?

Yes, seen it. Pass the sick-bag etc. I hope he kicks off the World Cup by taking a penalty, using the technique perfected by Diana Ross three decades ago, and falls flat on his voluminous arse.

Joe Mercer is a prize-winner. But I think Stan’s first England cap was in Alf Ramsey’s last match against Portugal (he says, as if he hasn’t just consulted Wikipedia) although the sentiments about ‘greatest manager England has ever had’ still, arguably, have a certain resonance in his case.

Still one more caretaker manager to go though …

Points, with distinction, for Howard Wilkinson (x2) and Stuart Pearce. Deduction for ‘Ben’ Carsley (it’s Lee, of course).

I guess. Will have to completely re-evaluate my pub quiz repertoire now though. Damn.

Incidentally, am I right in thinking that ‘Robby Bobson’ was the manager of Fulchester United’s arch-enemy in the Viz comic strip ‘Billy the Fish’? If not it should have been.

Yes, Walter Winterbottom, England’s first official manager. He’s the one that eludes most people. So, one to go then …

Back in the day the Ub*r drivers used fog lights to indicate their availability for hire (allegedly). Completely illegal, of course, but hey …

Well, you’re clearly unfamiliar with the popular 1950’s Disney TV series ‘Zorro’ then, Pinner. Herewith an excerpt from the theme tune:

"He is polite, but the wicked take flight,
when they catch the sight of Zorro.
He's friend of the weak, and the poor, and the meek,
this very unique Senor Zorro."

I rest my case.

Fans who, despite the fact that their team might be losing, suddenly start shrieking with excitement and pointing when they see brief, random crowd shots of themselves on the big screen. Your team’s losing, FFS. Look miserable.
