Refwatch: Southend United v Rochdale
at 13:15 20 Apr 2024

Just listening to the commentary on radio Essex, the summariser says we have good passing stats but the majority is either in our own half or backwards, together with the phrase “ style over substance “ This just sums up the whole season for me. If other people can see it why does BJ still keep doing it?

TVOS Preview: Rochdale v Woking
at 11:43 13 Mar 2024

I’m going to say it now McNulty out, he appears to be a nice guy and the players appear to like him, but his tactics are absolutely abysmal, so much passing about along the back line without any thought of moving it through the midfield. It’s so frustrating to watch and will never bring any new faces in to watch this tripe, although I’ll be there next week.

NFR Petition against ticket office closures
at 16:02 8 Jul 2023

Just as an aside to this. I was at Manchester Victoria station yesterday and there was a large police presence along with Metrolink staff, they were checking everyone who got off the trams for tickets, there were a lot of people who had been on without paying and were fined £45 immediately or more if a summons had to be sent. Well done to the police and Metrolink staff for doing this and for me it serves the fare dodgers right, all for trying to say a couple of quid.

Final home game in the EFL
at 13:37 24 Apr 2023

As I am now approaching my 70th birthday, I think Saturday will be the last time I get to see my football club play in the EFL. Several people have said why don’t you do something else on a Saturday afternoon, but being retired I say that I can do something exciting on any day of the week, but you can’t have fun all the time, so I’m still going to turn up at the crown oil arena on Saturday afternoon.

Bentley gone
at 11:55 28 Mar 2023

The board say they are supporters of this club, which I don’t think anyone can deny, however they have no experience of running a football club. They need someone with that experience and knowledge of RAFC , who better at this moment in time than KH , he is our most successful manager ever also knows the club inside out and if the board are supporters they must also know and see that this would be the right decision. Do it now so that KH can get rid of the dross and try and get some players in who want to play for our club.

SACK Bentley!
at 09:57 22 Feb 2023

For me there were only 3 or 4 players who should be paid this week namely Danny Lloyd, Toby Mullarkey, Owen Dodgson and Ian Henderson, the rest can get in touch with their agents and find somewhere else to steal money from and unfortunately I am including Jim Bentley in that lot.

How about unveiling the new manager on the pitch this afternoon before the game, I’m sure that would get the fans going.

Next manager and reasons why...
at 10:55 26 Aug 2022

At this moment nobody other than the members of the board know who has been interested in the job, all this is just speculation and maybe none of the people mentioned are interested in such a very difficult job. However I really hope they appoint someone very soon so they at least have a few days before the end of the transfer window to bring in and also move on the players they don’t need

Bradford stewarding

Hello 100 not out
At this moment no reply, but I don’t think I’ll get one. I just needed to get that off my chest and it seems from other posters that I wasn’t the only one to be hassled

Bradford stewarding
at 08:45 3 Oct 2021

I thought I would just put a copy of the email I sent to Bradford this morning Hello
I hope you can pass this on to someone who might look into this matter
I attended yesterday’s game and arrived in Bradford on the train, although the ground is a decent distance from the station I decided to walk,as it was raining and I had brought a telescopic umbrella with me it wasn’t a problem. That is until I arrived at the stadium were I was searched (which I didn’t mind) but was then told that I couldn’t take the umbrella inside the ground because I might throw it
I am 68 years old and there’s no way I would have even thought of throwing something, after several minutes conversation I was refused entry until I disposed of the offensive weapon, luckily the Rochdale supporters coach was parked nearby and the driver allowed me to leave it on the coach.
I was then searched again before being allowed in. I thought that might be the end of the matter but from my seat in the away stand I could see many home supporters coming towards the ground with umbrellas, many of them rather large golf umbrellas. Now I do not believe that all those supporters were turned away from the ground because they had umbrellas with them. Also once inside I noticed that in the top tier of the home supporters there was a group with flags that had poles attached, now if they are not deemed things that can be thrown I don’t know what is
I feel as an away supporter I have been discriminated against and would like to know what you would be doing about this unfair and unjust way of stewarding
Also just one final point there were a few supporters in the away section who had brought their own flasks, which in actual fact were a lot bigger and heavier than my umbrella, but they were allowed in. All we need is some consistency
I look forward to your response but don’t think I’ll get one
Kind regards

Season tickets on sale from 1st July
at 16:38 28 May 2021

They needed to bring down the prices as both myself and my wife had a season card last season paying a total of £540 We did receive the iFollow passes but as we live in the same house we only needed one, so to watch the games last season it cost over £23 per game

TVOS: Dale v Wrexham (FA Cup replay)

Pyke looks like he should be a good footballer in so much as he looks like he should be quick looks like he should be able to control the ball, but as I said so far he hasn’t stepped up

Why can we not play the players in their correct positions. Play Alby as a centre forward as he was at the end of last season he was good and even scored a few goals too. For me Tavares , at the moment is too lightweight and Pyke looks the part but hasn’t stepped up to the plate yet. We need forward momentum and at the moment we don’t seem to have a clue on how to pass the ball forward and even when we do if we do keep the ball it invariably goes backwards to the goalkeeper or a central defender.

That has got to be one of the most boring games for years I was so bored I started counting the number of passes we made before losing the ball , on average 23, that was just to get it to the halfway line. Our midfield is very slow with MJ and Ryan both looking to pass backwards or sideways all the time, runs were being made but the ball never went forward. If we play anywhere near that on Saturday we will get beaten easily

Wrexham (A) - Match Thread
at 07:44 14 Nov 2019

Let’s be honest, the club do things to make money, or in our case try not to lose as much money as they might so closing part of the ground is all about the finances. I am a ST holder and have been for a long time and I would rather sit down these days, some people prefer to stand and I can totally understand that. However seeing as the Sandy is closed for the replay why not try one of the other stands it’s no extra cost compared to POTD. In the sandy and as a one off it might be good.

What will actually happen when they are kicked out? Will all the debts be wrote off or does it mean that SD2 can sell the ground and pocket the money?

RIP Nigel Parker

I found out this morning that lifelong Dale supporter Nigel passed away yesterday afternoon. He will be sadly missed by many supporters. He had not been well for some time now,but it was a complete shock. I am sure many of you will have fond and amusing memories of Nigel.
