Mostly, banks become pubs ad]s seen down Wind St. The Park though was a pub turned into bank, they bucked the tree=nd. I liked The Oark back in the day.
I also had a Puch 50, black with gold pencil lines JPS style. Great days out in the hot summers of the 70s. Remember coming off on my way to my English O Level. Overtook a bus full of Bishop Gore kids and didn’t realise I had a flat on the rear. Off I came to rapturous applause / mockery from the bus. I was in Olchfa uniform so made their day😂.
My last bike was a Yamaha Diversion 600cc but I sold it as I felt it was not going yo be good for my health long term. Not ridden for over 30 years. I’d love to but I know how wrong it would be! |

And they’d be right.
I said a couple of weeks ago they’ll make the play offs. Unfortunately tonight they’re strengthening my argument. They certainly find=d the back of the net better than we can. And they are down to youngsters playing apparently due to injuries.

I’ve had SI issues for years as well as crumbling base of back. I’m a right mess.
I like The Pilot, they’ve got great beers there whenever I go which isn’t too often these days as I seldom drink.

I’ve only just seen their 3rd goal last night, I’d turned off thinking the game had finished.
Cabango was turned inside out. Not a reassuring sight I’m afraid. Can’t think of any opposition CH being destroyed like that. |

Well Wilkinson has long gone but yes. The atmosphere was much better especially the cold floodlit games. It had a very special feel.
Don’t forget the seafood sellers in the pubs in the night as well, crab sticks, prawns etc.😬 |

I think he was kind to us tbh. Ok, he bottled the second yellow but gave us the penalty which of course it was but seldom get given.
Also, he blew up just before they put the ball in the net due to a very soft bit of contact in our favour. It may have not resulted in a goal as everyone had stopped but we got away with one there.
The players lost that game tonight not the ref imo. |

I just think that’s his choice and should be respected for it. He’s also, like we all are, entitled to an opinion whether it be positive, negative, complimentary or critical whether we go or not.
If you or others have had personal problems I don’t know. All I can say is what I’ve already said.
Maybe just ignore totally rather than stoke the fire every time. Or take it to DM.

Firstly, injuries are mounting. It’s not going to help especially if they are same position players.
Secondly, in short no. I think what he says is usually on the button. What I don’t understand and I say this genuinely with the greatest of respect, is how grown up people on here just leave the playground stuff off this site. He’s entitled to say what he likes. Everyone is entitled to respond, but Whitey, it’s the same old, same old every bloody week. And if he doesn’t go to the games, because he lives up to 200 miles away and is not a youngster then that’s fair. But he still has the right to comment in whichever way he wants.
And finally I’ll say this. In the 20+ years I’ve ’known’ him and read his posts I cannot recall once where he has been abusive to anyone. I just don’t think it merits the amount of vitriol that’s aimed at him. |

No, not tonight to be fair. In fact he was better than most.
Why the hell didn’t we see Monga tonight. His apparent pace and ability may have been just the key we needed to unlock Portsmouth but again, he didn’t get a sniff. When Widdel came off surely that was his chance.
If this is personal with Matos then let him go back. But if he’s got no intention of playing him, don’t reserve a seat on the coach for him. I’d loved to have seen him later on in the game tonight to prove us right or wrong. |

I think you know the answer to that so let’s stop this yes? You of all posters on here are better than that. Everything he has said is right.
You can’t defend that. There’s losing and there’s not turning up. From the kick off they weren’t at the races. The only reason we got more return late in the second half was because they played further back and gave us more room to pass the ball in midfield. We hadn’t had a sniff up until then and on the rare occasions we got the ball we gave it away cheaply or just didn’t have a bloody clue what to do with it.
What I say next is not a knee-jerk reaction from tonight but what I’ve seen so far this season. I think we may finish in the play-offs but we won’t win them. We’ll not be anywhere near top 2 as there are better teams and squads than ours. I will say however that if we can keep the main players in the squad and improve it in January and summer we could be up there next year. Not this season guys, there’s too much lacking at the moment. |
