| So the Swans finish 2002 bottom of the football league. I am sure that many have heard people say that no-one bottom of the Premiership at Christmas has been saved from the drop so how does that apply with the Third Division. |
| Well, have a look at the bottom positions in this league for the past 10 years and the final finishing position of each team. It doesn't make that good reading. |

| As you can see, only two sides (Hull in 98-99) and Carlisle (in 2000-2001) have managed to life themselves out of the bottom two which is what we need. However, if you want positives, only last season (Halifax) has a team had more points than we have at the end of the year and indeed Hull pulled them back from a worse position in 98-99. |
| So if the Swans are to pull themselves to safety then it will have to be against the trend of the last ten years - let's hope that we do anyway! |
