From A Swansea Perspective |
I think it is the fact that he looks like Dart 'legend' Bobby George that does it. Well, a cross between him and David Essex anyway. But I really don't like Peter Jackson. He has made enough comments to be hated by everyone in Swansea and there would be nothing more satisfying than seeing Lee Trundle juggle a ball over his head, down Jacksons throat, out of his arse before banging it into the net from fifty yards. Well, okay there would be much more satisfying things but how funny would that be? I will settle for a win with a goal off Fallons arse. Who said it was more likely than his head?
I hate Christmas matches - there are too many of them to remember who is injured and who isn't. I think we will be unchanged because as far as I can remember nobody is suspended, injured or fit again. I'm sure someone will tell me if I am wrong
Huddersfield skipper Jon Worthington should be OK to continue after an ankle injury and Martin McIntosh and Chris Brandon are both available after bans.
They must decide whether to start with Pawel Abbott alongside Andy Booth or stick with Gary Taylor-Fletcher.
Huddersfield are 17th in the table having drawn their last three games - including two at home which make for good reading considering we are four unbeaten (!)
People always say that form means nothing at Xmas so that is why I am not going into more detail. It has nothing to do with the fact that it is late and I can't be bothered. Honest.
Bet 365 have the game priced up as 6/4 a home win and 6/4 an away win with the draw available to back at 9/4
As ever it is the name of Lee Trundle (9/2) who is the shortest odds for first goal with Luke Beckett at 5/1 and both Pawel Abbott and Rory Fallon (both have the same chant bar the last two words) at 6/1. 28/1 for Dennis Lawrence is increasingly good value as he looks to top our goal scoring charts.
Someone posted this on the message board earlier and I liked the sound of it - Trundle to score first in a 3-1 win is available at 70/1 on Bet 365. Lump on regardless of how shit we are at Huddersfield.
Hope springs eternal as 69 of the 100 predictions to date say a Swans win with 24 of the 31 remaining saying a draw. Trundle (49) is well clear of Fallon (16) and Robbo (13) for first goal whilst 2-1 (35) as ever is the most popular score prediction.

We'll win this. 3-1 with Trundle scoring first and I will be a hero despite copying the prediction from someone else. If it happens, thank me, if it doesn't then blame whoever posted it first. I am just the messenger! 3-1 Swans. |
