The untimely and tragic death of Motherwell's Phil O'Donnell kind of puts things into perspective really.

Toellandback send our condolences to the family, friends, colleagues and fans of Phil O'Donnell.

The 35-year-old Motherwell club captain collapsed during today's clash between the Well and Dundee United at Fir Park. He was rushed to Wishaw General Hospital, but was pronounced dead at 17.18.

Motherwell owner John Boyle said it was "an unspeakable tragedy" and their thoughts were with Phil's wife Eileen and their four children.

Phil began his career with the Well, before signing for Celtic in a £1.75m deal. After five years at Parkhead, he moved south to Sheffield Wednesday before returning "home" to the Steelmen.
