Sigurdsson Llorente Cork 10:02 - Jul 22 with 11169 viewsBorojack

If Sigurdsson and Llorente get sold to Everton and Chelsea that could be about 75 million coming in including the Cork sale.
We would then need a striker an attacking midfielder / winger type.
Personally I think we need an upgrade on Naughton as well.
Just hope Sigurdsson and Llorente don't go late and we are left scampering around last minute.

I don't think so.

A 3 pronged attack of Ayew, Abraham and someone of Chadli's ilk will be a very good forward line. Especially if we add the likes of Wilshire to Mesa and Carroll. That could quite possibly be our best midfield and attack since we have been in the PL (Laudrup era aside maybe).

I have a feeling that Abraham will go on to huge things. Tall, strong, quick, great feet and composed with a natural eye for goal. He looks the business.

Wilshire?

I'm fitter and have more chance of lasting more than a game or two than Wilshire

Just had a look at his club stats 146 appearances in 9 years scoring 6 goals.
That's 16 appearances a season on average with less than 1 goal a season complete waste of money.

If people could be sure of consistency in both performance and fitness from Wilshere then he'd still be a fixture for Arsenal.

As it stands he's a big, big gamble for anyone willing to meet their asking price, a gamble we really don't need to make that badly.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

My worry is, that these players will go late in the window and that we have little to no time to source replacements.

Exactly.

You have counted hist first 2 seasons at Arsenal as a pro when he made 1 appearance per season simply due to his age, not injury. He had more than a season out with a fractured ankle and ligament damage as a result. So its hardly a telling stat.

He also missed 4 months due to a ridiculous challenge by Paddy McNair. So thats almost 2 seasons out due to awful tackles and not fitness, injury proneness or conditioning issues.

He has had 7 full seasons as what most would consider a first team player. 5 if you discount his broken ankle and the McNair challenge.

21 games per season if you are including the 2 injuries. 29 games a season otherwise.

Anyone judging a playmaker on goal tally really doesn't understand the position in my opinion.

So straight choice, you would take Wiltshire before Ramsey?

With respect he's not employed as a centre forward

No. But I also don't think we have £60m to spend on a midfielder.

I was talking to someone who is well in at Bournemouth and he said that the club tried to send Wilshire back to Arsenal in January, but Arsenal declined....due to the season long loan deal.

He said Eddie Howe was not impressed with Wilshire's fitness and his all round attitude to getting fit and retaining his fitness.

Everyday above ground ... Is a good day! 😎

Why are people using goals and assists stats to define wilsheres career to date? He predominantly plays the deep lying playmaker role. I didn't see anyone using joe allens piss poor goals and assists record last year when they were preying we signed him and we'd still take him back in a heartbeat. Leon Britton.. even worse and what a player he is.

We've always got someone on the inside of other clubs, offering us information on any player we get linked with.

However his maths are well out. We'll be more than lucky to get £45m for Siggy and Llorente combined.
