Poetic words from our Teddy. I don't think anyone who criticises his tactics or points out where we could do better is interested in credit though, we're simply discussing where we stand currently.

I don't particularly believe that he deserves credit for putting himself 'in the arena' either. He deserves, and receives, plenty of credit for what he's done to this football club in the past decade, but the speech he's quoted seems to suggest we should be praising him just for simply being in the job when the going is tough. Let's be honest, he's in one of the most enviable jobs in the world, we don't need to give him reverence just for sticking with it.

I would say supporters are on side. There may be the odd few who go too far with their criticism, both at games and in places such as here, but in the main the team have received good backing at matches and constructive criticism and analysis on this forum.

I travel to watch Dale at home and just want to be entertained. That is all. I don't need promotion nor do I need wisdom. Just happy if I am entertained. I suspect many think the same. I respect Mr Hill for all he has done for our club, but I cant abide his constant moaning about fans and fan that make comment about games. He may be more technically qualified than most of us, but he should just keep quiet and get on with motivating and managing the players. Having a sideways swipe at the relatively small number of fan we have is just irksome.

Lets hope that the brave souls of the pitch tomorrow do feel that their balls are on the line and they put on a better show.
