Wycombe will have a big say in the final relegation places. If the get something out of Walsall then Walsall are down. Beat Wimbledon and because of the goal difference it will be dicey for the Don’s. If Wycombe loose both games they will be down. Southend have a decent goal difference so feasibly they could afford to draw 1 and win 2 and stay up. With Sunderland at home on the last day they will be desperate to beat us.
It’s interesting that with the Gas having such a strong goal difference they only really need a point against us to be safe. We would probably be happy with a point as well, so that could be a no hostility type game (so que a 4-0 stuffing).
For sure things will be much clearer Monday evening, but just glad that when I travel up for the Southend game there will still be something to play for. Didn’t think that was likely a month ago. | | | |

Rochdale on the other hand have won 4 of our last 8 with 2 draws and 2 losses. I cant see any of these teams going on a wining streak being generous and giving them all a point a game 3 of the bottom 4 look destined for div2 the exception being Wimbledon.

That`s cleared that up then!
We need a point at Gas and a win v Southend Utd. This would mean us being safe and not needed anything at Charlton to be certain of staying up. I am sure my heart won`t be able to take it if we needed a result against Charlton for the second successive season.
If we did need something I reckon the ambulance service will be stretched to breaking point on the last day of the season.
Luton winning 0-3 at Accrington has helped our situation no end and dragged Accy right into it.

I prefer to look at it another way. The position we are currently in means FOUR teams below us have to better our results in the last 3 games for us to be relegated. With their form and our current application it's difficult though not impossible to see it happening.

I'm happy to do that scarrow lad not to gloat there is nothing to gloat about but just to see if we can spot a trend and project it onto the final table. No doubt their will be some anomalies as you correctly point out football is unpredictable, one win can change things dramatically. It will be interesting at least to me to follow this through game by game to the end. I will be the first to admit if you are proven right and that I'm just talking bollix again. | |

No doubt Mondays game has now become the biggest game of the season so far.
Any point return for the Dale would be massive and I just think the stars have aligned and it might just be a day to say "I was there".
Agreed Charlton Away needing something from the game is not something I would be looking forward to.
