would you say Kgosi has burnt his bridges here?

Decent enough player and seemed to be improving, although obviously got offered more money so went to Scunthorpe.

Scunny doubled his wages. Obvious choice for him to make.

He had a few good games but positionally he was all over the place far too often and doesn’t keep the ball well enough. Never say never, but would say never.

He was injured a lot as well. For the first 18 months of his deal he was no better than squad player. He did play well, in patches during the last six months of his contract and then left to double his money.

Bolton are set to confirm the signing of Eoin Doyle, this after Swindon, Mansfield and Salford couldn’t afford him. They’re also after Sarcevic too. Nice to know their near-ruin has left them with some financial prudence.

Rumoured to have bid for Jay Spearing as well! He's meant to heading for Sunderland though.
And all after paying Barrow in excess of £200k for Evatt.

Not sure they will fit many players of that calibre in a £1.5 million salary cap which they could face if they do not get promoted next season. Although I suppose like when Bury where paying crazy wages, the players are playing for peanuts and the love of the club.

Aye, right.

He is a right back though, so at least the rumour sites are linking us with the right positions!

The Bolton situation is ridiculous.

Just two fingers to the FA and EFL who are so weak they will never be in a position to actually govern and stop this disgraceful blatant overspending.

It'll be interesting to see what manoeuvres clubs do to get around a wage cap if implemented. If they do sign Doyle then yes it'll be a kick in the teeth for all the creditors who never got their money etc

Lonergan meant to be heading there too, rumours him and Doyle to be announced on Thursday.

With a full ground no doubt they can afford it, but they are certainly taking an “enjoy the ride” approach and like FFCBFC they are not to be trusted financially.

Of the lower league clubs locally it’s interesting to see macc, Oldham, Bolton, Wigan and the former club of Gigg all in trouble. Dale and accy only clubs that seem capable of realistic budgeting.

Looks like they are planning on a rapid return to the top flight.

Hopefully an aspirational league 2 club will sign him, probably score the goal that knocks us out one of the cups though.

But, like other strikers with plenty of career goals (177 in his case), he has been a thorn in the sides of a lot of clubs.
