So the "US-based concern" isn't as yet particularly identifiable in a business sense
But CD and the other former shareholders must know who they are or more importantly, what they're about? Or can shares simply be put on the market and bought by the highest bidder?

I expect that the new shareholders will be listed in the confirmation statement due this month at Companies House.
Whether as a corporate body or individuals, who knows?
As for how they were sold - can only speculate. I would imagine the sale of Rochdale shares is a very rare occurrence, probably only ever done between fans of the club in previous years. | |

Sorry, don’t misunderstand me, Chris Dunphy has definitely sold his shares - to Dan Altman, who bought into Swansea a few years ago.

Is there anything in this proposed share issue and restriction of shareholders rights that would be covered at the EGM that relates to a potential takeover/majority shareholding?

Somehow that rings alarm bells with me. I am not sure I want the club to be an investment vehicle and would we really make money in the Championship? It is a big if that we would get there anyway?
