We'd just like to provide an update to Trust members following our announcement earlier in the week that we intended to call for an EGM. We have delivered a letter to the club this morning where we have formally called for that EGM.
In the past 48 hours, we have been in contact with a number of shareholders, and we were delighted that we had a total of 54 unique shareholders backing our call for an EGM which equated to around 25% of the total shareholding.
A massive thank you to all supporters for their backing over this. We will update you once we have a date for the meeting.
I wonder that out of the other 75% of shareholders with also vote for an EGM..
With what the yanks said about the club i think they just might..

Does it really matter what people at Wimbledon think about our training ground situation?
Does it?
They have only gained ownership of their own ground in May last year after significant investment from a local businessman.
And they train at Kings College London training ground

We are probably coming to the end of a 7 season stint in league 1 with the training facilities as they are.
Let's get our priorities right - first team playing squad and management, fan engagement, debt management.

... a site has been identified by Rochdale Council in conjunction with a Midlands based house builder, who apparently have been told planning permission for housing will be granted if a 6 pitch training facility is built. Land is in Heywood. 3-4 weeks away from a decision.

I have to say Judd it is very disappointing that our CEO feels the need to travel to away games in a pandemic and then hold a conversation with a competitor that doesn't see the Dale in a good light. I want somebody to shout loud and proud, not somebody to bemoan what we have and haven't got, or where we are. He wouldn't do that in business. Besides which, he needs to be staying at home. |  | | |

Apparently we have missed out on some stellar signings due to the lack of a training facility. Would the last 4 seasons of our last 7 years in the third tier have been any less stressful had we had one? |

Aye its not as if the players are being asked to train on the carpark - it's not stopped us getting 2 promotions, 2 play offs, some amazing Cup runs and 7 years in league 1. Hardly any of the players will live in Rochdale so it makes no difference were they drive to for training. |  |

We do not need one. That’s always been the case.

It’s no different to saying we’d like exec boxes on top of the Sandy*, they’d bring in an income and some people would make use of them but we don’t need them.

I feel your pain, but I would hope that those holding a decent number of shares will read threads such as this, having watched the shameless patronising lecture on the Companies Act from a man whose interpretation of the Competition Act contributed to multi-millions in fines, and that for someone who attends EFL meetings on a weekly basis simply has no handle on what the industry is actually doing with regards 21/22 season tickets.
I hope that this "interview" has not been sanctioned by the board. It's simply dreadful. | |
