One thing about last Saturday's game that was noticeable was that Odoh and Dooley, to name but two, noticeably failed to pull the trigger when a chance seemed to be there. Of course, without being in the player's boots, it's impossible to know how "real" the chance was, but there has definitely seemed (at least to me) a hesitancy to shoot when an opportunity arises. One facet of Luke's game which we badly need is his desire to shoot on sight from almost anywhere looking at his highlights clip. Hopefully others then follow that example. Today's Twitter feed certainly supports this impression. Can't wait for his first-team debut game. | |

Charman seems to be capable of doing what you would expect any " proper" Centre Forward should do. Shooting on sight, making opportunities for others, scoring goals by any means. A big lad leading the line and putting away chances is ideal at this level.
We have the means to supply him, he seems to have the knack of finding the net. This could be a marriage made in heaven and long may it last. Decent and hardworking as Beesley was this lad Charman seems to have a natural instinct that you can't coach I just hope no one tries to make him into something he may not be.
A hattrick on debut at any level is quite a statement, well done Lad! |  | | |
