An early start on Saturday then, temporarily, we become fans of Barnsley, Birmingham, Derby and Millwall.

7:30 am for me in NYC, but happy the match is on ESPN+. Mrs. Empire might get the breakfast of a lifetime if we nab all 3 points (egg in a hole in 1 or 0).

Any numbers on how many we're taking?

On at 10:30 PM here in Brisbane. I'll wait until I get up though, just in case.

At least 1.An early start for me too and a new ground as well.
I hope the players still have enough energy left to put in a good performance.

A game at a reasonable hour here in Perth 8.30pm start, sit back couple of beers and a few glasses of red while watching us "Hopefully" nab all 3 points.

Many of the players went straight down the tunnel at the final whistle which is a tadge unusual when we win.

Think our boys mean business and have had the mental kickup the R's. Mind set obvious from the start yesterday.

going down to 10 they upped the energy levels so recovery started straight away by tje look of things

captains fantastic

Yes, I thought it strange that players went straight off, including match winner Amos. Probably totally knackered after the shift they'd put in.

Kudos to Adomah and Barbet for doing the rounds though.

Omens, bloody omens... I shall be watching the blackburn game on tv and then I've promised Mrs Holy we will go to the pub to watch the buggerby with Welsh Vicky and her other 1/2... I now take you back to Saturday March 16th 2013...
QPR play Aston Villa in an early kickoff, relegation 6 pointer, televised on Sky... England play Wales in the 6 nations afterwards... Yes you've guessed it, I watched the footy at home and then went to pub with Mrs Holy to watch the buggerby with Welsh Vicky and her other 1/2...
It didn't end well... that is all I am saying :(

Early start on Saturday, so not much recovery time. I'm knackered and I didn't even play...

So the question is, do we keep with the new set up or revert to the tried and tested formation?

I thought the 3 CMs of Hendrick, Field and Johansen worked well and could be a good set up for away games. Willock leading the line not so good though.

I guess it will depend on who is available, but I wouldn't be averse to starting with a similar formation with Dykes or Gray up top. We'd obviously have the option of changing it if needed.

Warburton doesn't have a plan B?! Always thought that was nonsense.

I guess the team for Saturday will depend a lot on who is fit - not much time for recovery for those players that played the full 90 last night and that's assuming no little knocks/injuries

Hope Dykes is fit as could be a physical game,

Would set up to win the 1st half battle so would start Thomas with Willock + Dykes (if both fit) with option to bring on Chair + Johansen for last half hour as both looked spent leaving the pitch last night.

Couldn't see myself considering not starting Chair + Johansen a few weeks back but Hendrick and now Thomas are proving very capable understudies.

like to think oppos will have big centre backs ready to deal with Dykes, Austin and not Illy & Willy

could be a bit of a powerplay if we can keep 11 men on the pitch

I was there in 99 for our last victory. Sat in the home end and it was toxic. Blackburn had just panicked bought a few players in and it clearly wasn't working.

QPR were quite fortunate really, scored a scrappy goal right before half time and then a killer second against the run of play at the death. Karl Ready probably played his best game for QPR that day, him and Maddix repelling all the Rovers attacks, I remember one hitting the crossbar flush right in my line of sight. And it p*ssed down all afternoon.

I don't think that Villa game was an early kick off or on Sky.

I say that because it was a memorable afternoon for the wrong reasons. It's a long story but it involved an almighty row in my house at full time with a Chelsea fan whose Chelsea supporting son had given me the smuggest grin in the history of smug grins when Villa equalised at the end of the first half. It was a match we had to win and which we should have been winning by more than one when Villa scored.

This kid was so smug and he'd done the same before, so enough was enough. Anyway, that's how I remember it.

Suffering since 1978.

Definitely a Saturday 3.00pm kick off.

I still have a friendly disagreement with a friend about the equaliser! He blames Caesar for not collecting the cross, while I say it was down to Samba not trying to win the ball & that it was too far out for the 'keeper to catch.

I've never slammed the boot of a car as hard as I did that day after the game. Livid doesn't come close to describing my mood!
